I'm trying to get ESO to use my wireless internet connection only. I'm having some difficulty with it. Has anyone every used ForceBindIP successfully with this game?

    Okay, a better question....

Anyone know what file is run when you click the "Play" button on the launcher? That would be just as helpful.

You know, I thought so too. But when you run the eso.exe file outside of the launcher, something doesn't load correctly. There has to be something else that's triggering the eso.exe. Can you make the game run just by clicking the eso.exe file?

I always run the eso.exe directly, unless there's been an update.
    The launcher is extremely buggy.

Launcher has more memory leaks than Professor Xavier on LSD

Thanks for the replies! A couple of more questions.

When you run the eso.exe directly, does it read your UserSettings.txt file from My Documents? Whenever I launch the eso.exe directly it forces me through the EULA agreements over and over again.

Is your UserSettings.txt set to read only?

Nope. It's not read only. I'm not sure why it triggers differently when it's told what IP address to use.

Thanks again for all the replies.

ESO support has convinced me that ForceBindIP probably won't work with this program.

    Thanks again, guys!!!

You are doing this the hard way.

Now, unless you have some specific reason to allow some things to use your Wired and some to use Wireless, you can direct Windows to prefer Wireless over Wired or vice versa. But, this will shunt all traffic through one interface until it either fills up or goes down.

Or, you could just disconnect the Ethernet Cable when your playing the game, or disable the LAN port. Either one will work to force traffic to the Wireless.

Also, the bindIP would not work as most wireless APs are bridges in that they pass the traffic, not route it, so there would not be a IP to bind too. Unless you have a firewall and have assigned an IP to that port that goes to the AP.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
