This is true. Healers fundamentally rely on ulti gen from healing as a way to build ultimate. The light attacks we do are just bonuses to our ulti gen, but to rely on it completely puts us at a major disadvantage. I agree this should be done as a hotfix if you know what is causing the issue.

Yup. All well and good getting it fixed in an incremental patch, but that would be at least another week away (half week now) and doing PvE/PvP content without being able to generate ultimate during that time is going to be a major pain in the arse.

Hmm... Hope someone considers this a hot fix candidate. Healers rely on Ultimate generation just like all the other classes..

I was thinking about my templars.. But I suppose this affects those who heal only with a resto staff too.

I think you are misunderstanding how ulti generation works. You do not get MORE ulti from throwing light attacks while healing, you get the same as if you were just healing or just throwing light attacks.

There is 1 buff and that generates ultimate but there are multiple ways to get this buff and none of them stack. So if I am healing and throwing 1 light attack every few seconds I will be generating the same amount of ultimate if I was not healing at all.

While this bug is very annoying, as long as you throw in a light attack every few seconds you will be generating the same exact amount of ultimate as you would of without this bug existing.

This is a huge bug to the core mechanic of the game and you're going to wait until an incremental patch?

This is all part of creating a successful game. You cannot let such game breaking issues wait, especially core mechanics of the game. Honestly, it blows my mind that ZOS would wait to fix this. Its no wonder the state of the game sometimes.

Prior to this weeks patch it used to be just an occasional thing, once every few days. Now it seems as though it stops generating every day now.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the bug and the actual fix itself, this isn't able to be easily hotfixed and must go into a full patch. That said, we are currently planning on having a patch next Monday, where this will be included.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the bug and the actual fix itself, this isn't able to be easily hotfixed and must go into a full patch. That said, we are currently planning on having a patch next Monday, where this will be included.

One thing worth mentioning is, Overload attacks no longer generate ultimate since the patch. Not sure if its a bug or a nerf that just didn't make it in to the patch notes.
