Infinite loading screen before character creation

Ok so a friend of mine recently bought the game and right after the opening cutscene, before the character creation, there is an infinite loading screen. Any suggestions? We searched the web and could not find any solutions.

I've seen a couple of things suggested in the past.

1) Increase LUA memory from 64 to 256 in your settings file. This can usually be found in your documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live. The file should be called "Usersettings"

2) Disable any add-ons.

3) If the above don't work, navigate to your ESO folder (Same as above) and in the "savedvariables" folder, you'll see a ZO_Ingame.lua file. Delete it.
