Anyone found a good place for a low level char to get high level loot?

In my quest for speed leveling crafting on my alts i have been looking for places to get high level loot for the inspiration bonus when deconstructing.
So far, it's been somewhat underwhelming.

I'm trying to level crafting for 3 alts between level 10 and 16.

Cyrodiil:
Loot from mobs and chests is leveled down to your actual character level, so that doesn't really help.
I have only found one chest as of yet that always yields at least one VR1 item, but the respawn rate is too slow for effective farming.

Coldharbour:
Chests give level 40-50 loot but locked chests are sparse and most enemies are too strong for a low level character.
My level 16 can take on single scamps etc. but anything stronger than that is a death sentence.

So, if anyone has found some good places to get high level loot as a low level character, please share.

Well.. it is possible for a level 15 player to kite and solo the vampire quest. Because seeing as its not scaled.. the items that drop there are around level 38 and so.. and I believe that is Ebony/Orichalcic level of crafting. Its not really ideal.. but if you have a bow, and you know how to kite enemies and have a self heal its completely do-able. And the mobs have a sorta medium respawn time. Around 5 to 8 minutes.

Interesting. I haven't done the vampire quest since beta, i'll go and check that out, thanks!

And i just found some more locked chests in Coldharbour, so maybe that isn't as bad as i originally thought ...

I often drop Vet gear in my guild store at around 150-300 you could quest sell the loot and buy from a guild store or go to a higher level area on your main and get the mats and then craft or have guildies craft gear for you to deconstruct.

To the actual topic no sorry very few chests drop gear above your level so I think the ones that do are not meant to.

My 3 mains are VR level but it hate doing gear runs with them just so my alts can level.
    I'd rather actually play the alts. I know, i'm weird ... biggrin.gif

Anyways, the chests in coldharbour do drop zone level gear (40-50) even for my level 16 char i'm running currently, so that does work OK.
And i have bought a couple of items from guild stores but usually only a few people sell "scrap" for cheap, most stores only have expensive gear.

I'll send you some that expired in my guild store if you want. I was going to deconstruct them and my crafters are already max level so probably worth more to you than me :)

You can buy VR items with intricate trait from guildstores, usually for about 150-500 gold each.

If you have a VR main, farm the gear with your main, transfer it to your alts using your bank or send all items you want to deconstruct to a friend by mail who can then return it to you, and you can pick it up with your alt.

I don't think higher level matters. Just find the 200% or higher deconstruct items that tend to fall at most levels. Correct me if I'm wrong
