The best Addons that should be added to the game code

Hello @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, @ZOS_GinaBruno,

Are there any plans by @ZOS to add in some of the features to the game that we have to use Addons for?

The main ones I would like to see added within Crafting and Guild Store searching are below.

AwesomeGuildStore
ResearchBuddy2
Merlin the Enchanter
Potion Maker with an update to select x amount to make
Sous Chef - Provisioning Helper with an option to select x amount to make

The things in these Addons are what most of us hoped would have been in the game from the start. They are all excellent Addons that help to make doing these things less of a chore. To have to continually go outside the game to find information on items were trying to make in the game is a little ridiculous. Take Enchanting for example, there are so many Glyphs that can be made yet NO in game reference to what all of them are. The Enchanting process itself has to have something to help identify what combinations of glyphs are required to make said glyph.

To not be able to search for an item by name in the guild store is a huge waste of time. Adding in these search features into the game is a win win for everyone. AwesomeGuildStore is an excellent resource for this and these functions could easily be added to the existing game code for guild store searching.

ResearchBuddy2 allows you to pull up a grid of all Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking and shows you all traits researched or not. It also has a function to show you what your currently researching for each area and how long is left on them. We shouldn't have to use a crafting station to know what traits we can/cannot make. That should be crafted knowledge and easily accessible from anywhere in the game.

When making large quantities of potions or provisioning you have to sit and hit R 100 times. This could easily be remedied by adding in a "craft X amount" function. Alchemy like Enchanting needs to have an in game resource to identify what items are required for x potion. Potion Maker is an excellent Addon for that and wouldn't be needed if this was already included in the game. Sous Chef shows you what recipes ingredients you pick up can be used for.

Thank you for your time.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they implement a slider function for all of the crafts? I can't check right now, but I am almost certain I don't have an addon for that feature.

    Thank you @QuadroTony for the verification. I'm at work so I couldn't verify it. I didn't recall hearing anything about it and have used that Addon for a long time.

    Let's see...

    FTC or equivalent;
    Advanced Filters or equivalent;
    Wykkyd's Outfitter or equivalent (I've heard there's actually a better alternative for gear/skill swapping at the click of a button, but Wykkyd's has served me well so far);
    AI Research Grid or equivalent;
    ESO Master Recipe List or equivalent (I'm actually thinking of removing SousChef, as I don't use it to craft multiples and MRL has added "checks" for unknown recipes).

    These are the ones I couldn't possibly live without right now. I do have other add-ons installed, but they're disabled on most of my characters.

    If the OP was aware of the history of this topic he'd know the futility of this topic. Those add-one will never be added to the Zos issued game.

    I hope so.
    A few essential add-ons need to be added to the game.
    I have no idea how console users will live without them, myself included.

    After experiencing the game with add-ons I'm thinking about investing in a new PC instead.
    My current PC is okay and can only run medium settings, with a couple settings boosted to high.

    I know I would love to see a minimap added to the game. I have the addon and use it constantly, it makes getting around so much easier. I'm going to miss it not being there on the console version.

    FTC
    Lootdrop
    Awesome Guildstore
    Advanced Filters
    Item Saver
    Multicraft
    Sous Chef
    Harven's Custom Map Pins
    No, thank you
    AI Research Grid

    + an option to show all buffs and debuffs on your character and your current target
    (also, a better visual warning when you need to repair or your weapon is out of charges)

    Out of curiosity, why do you use a minimap? I don't use it and have never felt the need for it. Most objectives are tracked on the compass, and other than that I just open and close the regular map as needed. Not trying to diss people who use minimaps, but I'm honestly curious about why it's so popular :)

    Because you don't have to open and close the map all the time. You can tell if the road you are going down leads to your objective without blocking your entire screen and possibly needing to stop without opening the map. It cuts your time navigating to a new location in half, easily.

    I always just plop down a nav point, but I can understand why some prefer the minimap.

    I've found that in ESO, as in Skyrim, the best way to get somewhere isn't always just heading straight for the nav point. By that method you wind up stuck in box canyons or staring down the face of a deadly ravine. Since I've installed the minimap I only open the map up maybe 1 tenth the times I used to. I find it invaluable.

    Yeah, I'll give you that. It can definitely lead to that damned cliff death, as was polled here.

    gd cliff...

    I use 32 different addons (at last count), but the list of ones that I feel should actually be built into the game is relatively short.

    These are the addons that I really wish I didn't have to install, since I feel that there is no reason that these shouldn't be game features available to everyone. Many of them I consider essential to gameplay, and there would be no harm at all in adding these to the vanilla game as options:

    - Advanced Filters
    - No, Thank you
    - Research Assistant
    - Awesome Guild Store
    - FCMQT
    - Lootdrop
    - Item Saver

    These are all simple "Quality of Life" addons that provide for game features that should have been built into the game's stock UI.

    I'd also like to see a mini-map as an in-game option, but for some odd reason, ZOS is anti-mini-map. :(
