Yes, they are heading towards console exclusive

People are always freaking out over everything around here. But I would say don't worry. If the consoles sales do well, it will only help ensure the long-term viability of the game as a whole. If they do poorly, then ZOS will probably just focus more attention on the PC version. Either way, the PC version isn't likely going away anytime soon. Unless the console version really tanks and ZOS has already determined that the PC version is bleeding money (both of which seem pretty unlikely), then ESO will be here for a long time to come.
Don't worry, be happy, man!

typical multi-platform dev response. "oh no no don't worry, with the money we'll make from console, we'll work on PC as well! together, bro!"
sorry, but it never happened before.
give me ONE major game example that does this: console revenue boosts PC development. any genre. any time.
100% of the time that i'm aware of (i'm not Akatosh though, i could be wrong), console revenue goes to console DLC/exclusive/content... while gets..... "oh, now THIS part we can just half-ass port it. let's throw them a bone."
humans are greedy like that. the sooner people accept it, the less painful it becomes when reality strikes.

The game is now free, so whatever happens will happen. People shouldn't worry so much about something that's free and not really of any importance in life. Sure its a fun game, but there are more serious things in our society that need our attention right now.

First of all, Pc is the master race. Second, I'm pretty sure that players will not be able to transfer there characters from the Pc server to the consoles server. So even if Pc users do consider switching from Pc to console, the thought of starting from scratch just sounds absolutely abysmal.
If only somebody on the team would have had the balls to say, "Look. This needs a lot more work. Let's fight to delay the PC release at least a year so we can release a great game on every platform instead of one on PC now that feels just average."
Or maybe somebody did and the Bosmers on the team ate him shortly before they set up their "Positive Feedback Only Or STFU" stance on the beta forums and in the beta surveys. The beta surveys were ridiculous. I never filled them out because nothing in those surveys would ever amount to making a better game.
The game's always been allergic to negative feedback, and it's only going to be a few more weeks until they realize that they can't hide from negative feedback on console, either. And then it will still be all our faults because the devs can't possibly be wrong. Corporate indoctrination: If people don't love it, there's something wrong with the people. Maybe they're just stupid or something.
Yeah, I'm worried about the PC version. I'm worried about all the versions. Because everybody working on it will put this game on their list of experience when it's pretty obvious that nobody's learned anything from it that will benefit a future product.
Unless "Buckling To Corporate Demands" and "Making Crap Look Pretty" are now considered transferable skills.
