Treasure maps and their loot

Is it me,or is it not worth searching for buried treasure.There's never anything unusual,rare,or awesome.Chests give better loot than the maps do.I tend to just dump the maps due to this.
Please,Zos,..pleeeeze,..fix up the loot in buried treasure dirt mounds.

The gear scales to zone. That being said, if you hold them to Silver/Gold, you'll get vet quality items.

Honestly, I have yet to get a remarkable piece of gear from a chest, map related or otherwise.

You've more chance to get some soul gems, and the novelty of the hunt.

The reward vs the time involved is minimal, at best.

I dumped them all. They were just taking up bank space for gear that wasn't all that good.

If you ever get frisky later and want the experience, you can pick most of them up for around 200g each, all day long.

Didn't start searching for them until vet ranks; now I save them up until I have 10 or so. Will go find all them and make a loop on Khenarthi's roost to fill my guild bank with stuff to decon for peeps that are leveling their crafting. That's about the only useful thing I have found to do with them honestly.

total waste of time... first time around a year ago id go look for the treasure and gear was good for 5 lvls or so but it really doesn't matter if you have it or not now.. lvling is pretty easy anyway..

If your doing Treasure Maps for the Loot, your doing them for the wrong reasons.

Its not the Destination, it's the Journey. Taking the map, looking at it, trying to figure out what that drawing is referencing and then finding that place on the map is the fun part of the treasure maps.

If all you care about is the loot, then get the Treasure Map addon and you won't spend more than 5 minutes on a treasure map. Or sell the thing to people who do enjoy the journey.

There's no treasure in those treasure maps. I destroy them to save space.

They should stay like they are EXCEPT the pieces should all be part of a set. Still all blue still on level when you pick them up.

At end game the only place worth using maps is Cyrodiil as it grants you VR14 loot (scaled to a VR14 player).

I used to love doing these maps early game and even searching around zones for treasure in general, it fast became obvious however that there isn't much reason or profit in this due to the fact items other than VR14/VR12 sets from specific areas are not worth it.

Not doing it for loot,actually,but for items that are usable.Good pieces of armor,good weapons,etc.And,yes,for the fun of it.I did most of them.,but quit when I realized there's nothing unique or outstanding.In other words,..not really "treasure".The map treasure is the same thing as in the chests.AND,..dont people do treasure hunts for the treasure? Not just the experience alone.
