How about a retroactive gift to anyone who has completed them? Say... 10 CPs for completing silver and 20 CPs for gold? Plus a an appropriately named dye unlock (Caldwell Silver and Caldwell gold?)

We need some love here.

Could not agree more. The "loot" i received for completing the long haul of Cadwell's gold was a blue item that was not impressive and that i could not use. Not even much gold. Talk about anticlimactic. It is almost as if ESO put a throwaway reward in as an afterthought.

It would be nice if it was all changed so that the account could jump in and out of any silver/gold quest or be repeatable

Kinda like how Halo MCC works but just for silver and gold quests

I just had to grind out Silver to get CP's, I was already VR14 when I started and it was the AD faction. You can imagine how boring that was. Wasn't engaged in any of the quests and don't get me started on the buggy, confusing hell that is Reapers March.

I honestly think I should have come out with a bit more than a VR5 ring of Syrabane, 3 green recipes and what ever that trash Cadwell gave me at the end.

End rewards could be better - a special dye for completing Silver and Gold would be nice too - but to be fair, we do get a skill point with each of the Cadwell quests and we also get the dyes associated with those quests.

Personally I think Cadwel's Silver and gold are stupid, you have to complete one faction to go over to the other... This should be much more open, at least let us go to both other faction zones rather than making us do one then allowing us to go to the other, who cares if we're under levelled for the VR 5 - 10 Zones all PVE in this game is easy as *** anyways so a challenge would be nice. This game is open and 'Cadwel's silver and gold' just seem stupid to lock you into one allaince before going to another. People may complain 'But High VR zones would be too difficult for a VR 1 - VR 2 character' Well, for one They are definitely not and two, you can go to Craglorn at VR 1 and that's certainly too hard for VR 1 - VR 2's.

The quest rewards, with the exception of 1 or 2 quests are a joke, everyone knows this, including the devs. This is all just some weirdly ironic joke that no one gets...

It's not just the quest rewards. It's the final rewards as well. I completed Silver and Gold these days for the 3rd time and was again astonished how underwhelming the final rewards were. Blue necklace with rather standard bonuses and a bit of Bla Meridia Bla text. Really?

Because doing Silver and Gold is arduous at best, I'd like to see a special "finalizer" reward in categories like DSA's Master type weapons and/or jewels scaling to your current Vet Level or somesuch. Or a "Cadwell's Passives Skill Tree" with some cool true heroics in it. This would at least make it satisfactory to complete the Almanacs.

Again, Zenimax's approach of generating desirable quest rewards is rather poor, thus further pushing the fact that people hate doing Cadwell's anyway.

    So on top of:

    Various achieves & dyes.
    CPs.
    Skill points.
    Skyshards.
    Hours of play time.

    You want bouns CP too?

Not that a reward somewhat more useful than Meridia's rather average necklace wouldn't be appreciated...

It's just a suggestion for something that could be easily implemented with little fuss. They are arduous tasks that take many days to complete. Every other lengthy quest chain at least attempts to recognize the effort with a skill point, a good reward and typically top-end XP rewards.

Caldwell's silver and gold just seem like something that was tacked on hurriedly with little or no thought about how it should be rewarded. Even vet achievements that just happen as you play the game are occasionally rewarded with costumes... because a little bit of thought went into rewarding those milestones.

My point was that you get all the things I listed while working through Cadwell's quests, he is really just a continuity handwave so we can play all the content without being forced to roll characters in other alliances if we would prefer to be 'loyal'.

But I do think some sort of specifc achievement, dye or costume for completing would be nice.

I'm pretty sure none of the developers played the game for more than 45 minutes at a time. If developers took the time to play the game instead of just dealing with their piece of the puzzle, they'd have to own up to how average it is.

The best possible reward the end of Gold could offer is a chance to permanently change your character's alliance choice. Or, if you don't chose to, you can unlock neutral status in PVP campaigns so you can choose which sessions to PVP in and which to just explore. Either one is valuable, and things that can be retroactively offered to players who have completed Gold.

I'm getting closer to finishing the Silver and Gold quests (I started playing in BETA and it's so painful I can't quest for more than an hour or so at a time), and I really would like to see some kind of actual reward for such a long, drawn-out thing.

I just want the bloody xp changes given to my older character .She is vr4 and halfway through the first area of the third faction. The new nightblade I made a few weeks ago is almost vr4 and on only the 2nd area of the 2nd faction. this is a huge difference in xp. and that older character did a lot more by way of vet dungeons and what not, having a cool 32 more skill points that my nightblade does at this point - both completionist playthroughs

At least finishing Silver 'rewarded' you with access to more skill points and skyshards in the next Alliance :p

I agree OP some form of recognition for completing one of the longest components of the game would be nice. A title or dye or maybe an item for a Meridia set of armour would have been good although I guess as others have said you do pick up titles and dyes as you go with completing the three alliances.

It did feel like a let down completing it all and then being given a handshake and a useless piece of jewellery. Having said that I'm a glutton for punishment as I've done it all twice now and I'm already working on the third, the agony :s

That's pretty cynical but sadly spot on. Indeed, people don't want an actual Meridia-Uber-Artifact of Nuclear Barbecue Melting, but they seem to want something distinguishing and in recognition of their efforts. That's not surprising, I guess. After all, the Soulless One was in Meridia's presence/service/handbag/whatever for quite a while and by him it was possible for her to seriously harm Little Mo in his own domain.

To quote Peregrin Took from LotR: "We have the White Wizard. That's got to count for something."

    Here's a shortlist:
    - Awesome "Meridia"-type title
    - "Master"-type item (select one from three maybe)
    - A special "Cadwell's Heroic Passives" Skill Tree with three special effects to skill (one for each, bronze, silver, gold)
    - A truly epic dye, maybe with a halo, aura or something scintillating
    - A following "Meridia's Mini-Light" Pet like the one from Almalexia in EP
    - A trip to the ZOS offices complete with breakfast with the "Itemization" Dev team
    - Something!!!!! @ZOS

This right here. I'm going through Silver now for the second time and let me tell you I have ZERO enthusiasm for it. I simply do not LIKE the AD zone. If I'd had any interest in it I'd have darn well rolled a character there. EP I was more interested in and it annoys the sweet bejeezus out of me that I am forced to endure the special hell of Silver before I can get there. The whole thing is just a cheap trick to recycle content and pretend it's end game content. It's NOT end game content, it's nothing more than 1-50 leveling all over again and pretty much an insult to anyone possessing a modicum of intelligence.

But yes, for actually completing this ridiculous nightmare we should, AT THE VERY LEAST, get dye achievements and they should be rares, truly metallic silver and gold. A couple nice costumes based on those areas would be nice as well.

Personally I would love to see something nifty for those who make it through Cadwells siver & gold.

    But...

...not just some more c-points, not just some blue trash iten you just sell anyways, not just some piece of gear you deconstruct since it won't fit into your set plans or something like that...

Dyes might be a possibility. So would titles, (though I guess there is the "tamriel hero" for those who do all the three faction stories)...

But what I'd -really- love to see would be unlock to something less like "here, have a handout" and more something to make the whole game more fun!

I have been mumbling about an idea for "class morphs" to add a fourth skill line to your class while turning it from the initial four towards moree varietee by adding three different choices for each class... like, having a sorceror be able to choose to go "necromancer" (undead summoning and curses) or "spellsword" (melee support magic) or "cryomancer" (ice magic) for example, or a templar getting the choices of "witchhunter" (countermagic) or "shaman" (totems & spirit magic) or "druid" (plant & animal magic), or a nightblade being able to go "ranger" (animal summoning and nature magic) or "illusionist (illusion summoning and effects) or "monk" (melee martial arts support) - that is something I would like to see at the end of "silver".

And at the end of cadwells gold... when you have finished your tour through all the alliances... how about adding an very special quest that follows a "faction loyalty called in question" theme, with a big decidion in it - either stay in your starting faction and prove your loyalty, or defect and change to the faction you like more? It could take your character all over tamriel, either planning their escape and defection, or exposing the plot against them...

Alternately or in addition, there could be more skill lines opening up? Another idea I once had was to allow players to choose one guild to gain "guild mastery" in, adding more skills towards its flavor... while right now we only have two choices in there, it would really come into its own when thieves guild and dark bortherhood get added... and maybe even a fifth "bardic guild" might someday be coming to tamriel unlimited, who knows?
