What i would like to see in game

AronGrayblood
I was playing for some time now. I have seen how game looked in beta and how it have changed. Its great, alot of progres have been made. I bought it asap when it droped subscription. And i am quite heappy with how it turned out. But there are few things that are missing and that i belive should be there or atleast added to be there. Sooo here we go.

1 - Coats and short robes. I think it should be new category for items in light/medium/heavy armor. Alot of people had them in Skyrim and some npc do have coats and short robes in Elder scrolls online, but there are no player craftable ones which is shame

2 - Joinable factions, like redoran house, Telveni, hlaalu and others, like in morrowind. With their own campain

3 - player housing, prehaps conected to the 2nd thing. I have alot of items that i grow atached to, especialy some quest rewards and i would like good place to store them and nice place as house.

4 - Guar in the stable, Guar is only mount i am intrested in, and it is in crown store. I payed quite a bit for this game, i mean 2xAAA price, so unles you want to add some way to change normal gold to crowns you should not give things that are playing on ouer nostalgia as crown store only. Sure Guar should cost something like 100k thats understandable but i should be able to buy for ingame curency.

5 - Expand Vampires and Wearewolfs a bit how about joinable clans and packs that have some war betwean them

    1. not going to happen
    2. guilds HAVE to be able to be joined by all factions, mages, fighters, and IF they ever actually come thieves guild and DB are likely going to be the only ones in the game
    3. not going to happen for a LONG time
    4. welcome to a B2P game that thinks it can get away with F2P related stuff
    5. not going to happen.
  • AronGrayblood
1 - why not? They havet them in game why shouldent they just add it, sure a bit of work, but why to keep stuff if they are not gooing to expand game

about 2nd one Well each faction can have their own, i mean come on you will not tell me that Dagerfell or how do you say it, or Aldemari do not have some kind of powerfull houses/organizations that are dooing things. It can heapen but it is alot of work.

3 - somethign tells me you are right... unfortunetly

4 - yea something tells me that you are right here 2

5 - hey they may do that or atlest expand on vamps and wearewolfs a bit.

if they each had teir own skill line, it would become REALLY unbalanced and certain factions would have an advantage, so no, it is NOT going to happen.

besides, do you HONESTLY think ZOS would go out of their way to be that matriculate anyway?

Well i hoped they will expand a bit, they have already done alot of job with with what they have. I do not think that unique skill lines are needed for that. We already have alot of skills. But few quest would be great. Prehaps rank and building your own stronghold... It is in dreamzone for now, but it would be nice.

not a dreamzone, so far above even that, it is impossible to see. IF there were no skill lines for each guild, the forums would ERUPT in anger, and if the factions had unique guilds, it would break the balance even more then it already is and no one would play anything other then that faction.

You are probably right, i would like to see dev saying what they have planed for future.

Truth to be told, out of all that 5 points 1st one or atleast some sort of coats and short robes that can be weared by players are my number well 1. I hate robes as they are now...

1 - Necromancers style, anyone? Yes, we have a bit of this in the game already... and I for one would love to see more. Light armor chest gives "jerkin or robe" options, why not a "pants or skirt/kilt" option for leg pieces of all three armor types? Why not longsleeve "winter" options and shortsleeve "summer" options for chestpieces? Why not long "winter" robes and shorter "summer" versions? Et cetera.

2 - We have the fighters & mages guild, will be getting the thieves guild and dark brotherhood (hopefully soonish)... more of the sort would of course be neat, but... in morrowind those houses were very vvardenfell-specific, ESO covers all of tamriel, doesn't it? Which makes things more difficult... since they would be unlikely to enjoy spending three times the development resources to cover the three alliances... how many other factions could there be that are all over the land? Noble houses and the like are all very closely race-specific... the otherwise discussed idea of a "Bards Guild" aside, there is... faith. Basing it on aedra or daedra to worship might work well, and has been brought up in other threads.

3 - ...will come. Someday. Eventually. In the far future. (since they have too much else to work on before they can even start thinking on that)

4 - Welcome to the "I wish ESO had stayed all sub" club, but that ship has sailed and sunk... so now... count yer crowns if you like riding guar (on the plus side, one purchase is all it takes for every one of your alts)

5 - Unlikely. Why would they put lots of developers work into something only a small fraction of the players will enjoy? At best you can hope for them to make a DLC with an werewolf-vampire themed questline & region for everyone that might include some small extra details for V/WW players... but that's not bloody likely by itself, as this is an "the elder scrolls" game, and not an "world of darkness" game.

And I too would like way more "road ahead" from the developers, not just vague "we're working on it", but... something I as a player can look forward to. Even if it may change as things (inevitably) fail to go according to plan, it would still be very neat to know "this is coming"...

Thanks for anwser. About 4 i just want to point out that in games buy to play or even some free to play to buy premium content you do not exacly need to be paying real money as you can buy premium curency with gold. i HATE subscription and idea of paying for game you already have is more then absurd. It is just i do not want pay for small amounts of additional content when game already costed like 2xAAA. I mean lok at guild wars 2.... so much content with regular updates and tones more content wihout need to pay more, and even then there was a cash shop that you could have spent normal ingame cash to buy premium cash. ESO is on the begining way of b2p i hope they improve or simply add things to game from cash shop after some kind of few months deley which would make sense. Game improved alot since it was relesed, there is no reason to assume that it ESO:TU will not improve with time.

I suppose that depends on your point of view...

For a solo game? Sure, it would be.

For a MMO? Where they have to pay their server upkeep each month?? And their developer team to bring us new content??? And all the support staff around these????

Point is, capitalism, if any game doesn't make a profit, the plug gets pulled. So, I am all for putting my money where my mouth is, and paying for ESO goodieness, so I can keep playing ESO for years to come, and not, I dunno, talk about how great it was while it lasted...

With ESO, they tried sub model, and evidently it failed them. So now they are on a BtP model, and working to get it going well. Lots of room for improvement there, certainly. And I expect they will improve a lot too. But... they are not very likely to cut their own financial support throat by giving out crown store stuff for free, anytime. Just think of how vexed the players who paid for it would be!
