I'm trying to get support to help people with consoles transfers after the deadline so Bethesda can implement it before it releases, as of right now there's no feature for people after the deadline. i was thinking we could pay for a console transfer i was trying to see what everyone thinks of that?

Well seeing how much better console is and how much it has been polished.

I would agree that a transfer for say 50 dollars or something is ok. Personally alot of the guilds i am in are heading to ps4 so i am joining them. Was not sure at first until the beta footage and it sold me. Its almost as if the past year the pc race tested the game for consoles..... i am been srs because it does upset me anyway cya there.

I would pay for the full game and a transfer i think it would be positive if they implemented it. I and many people didn't meet the deadline i think they should offer transfers for those players to. Some poeple only have friends that have a console and they would want to play with them without starting over.

It may not be immediately after release but I predict this being made available at some point down the road. Just a feeling I have.

Zenimax would be well-served to implement a paid service to transfer (not copy) accounts from platform to platform. They could make a lot of money doing that. Customers have changing groups of friends, family, and co-workers they may play games online with. They may buy newer faster PCs. They may change game consoles. There are lots of reasons a player may want to switch platforms.

Comparing this service to the realm transfer service of world of warcraft (a game i've not played in 4 years) is smart. Looking over my Blizzard transaction history I had spent over $300 on character transfers and faction changes since 2005. Zenimax, cash in on these services!
End the tedious inventory management game.

I agree, I actually would be willing to pay $50 for the transfer. I was stunned when I found out that there was a time limit. Its almost as if they don't want our money, or they are creating a frenzy to justify a $50 price tag.

I think your idea is something many want to see open up but unless this new option was only available to those who may have missed the original offer it may cause more concerns.

If they re-open it to people who missed it...I'm OK with this even tho the price and terms may differ.

I wouldn't be OK if it was opened up to people who did not originally qualify.
    good luck

It might not be possible to do it again. There are a variety of reasons, including simply teh console compaines saying NO or the fact it requires transferring mass amounts of code to what is essentially an incompatible system.

To your first point, I would bet the farm that Xbox and Playstation both feel that the more gamers playing more games the better. So I would have to say no to the consoles saying no to transfers. It simply boils down to more players playing equals more money.

To you second point, Neverwinter seems to have little to no trouble transferring characters from pc to console so ESO might want to take notes.

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually offer character transfers for about $20 per character. Not anytime soon, but eventually.

This would completely kill this game for pc and at the same time destroy the game for new players in console more than it is already

this service should have been done 30 days after launch not before. no one goes eso is coming out lets hurry up and transfer our accounts before ZeniMax shuts the gates ,, its more like hmm eso is finally coming out on consoles cant wait to get it then transfer my account ,, seems like common sense to me.

IDK, common sense should've been, "This is an entirely different platform, so I should assume nothing will transfer unless some exceptional event is provided." --shrugs--

    Nope.

(Quote from Neverwinter's FAQ on ARC)
I play Neverwinter on the PC, can I transfer my characters/items/purchases to the Xbox One?
Unfortunately it's not possible to transfer anything from the Neverwinter PC client to the Xbox One and vice versa. This also means that any progress made in the PC client will not be mirrored on the Xbox One.

    I didn't think Neverwinter did a transfer.

Edit: As a matter of fact I am pretty sure this did not happen because the PC version is a few modules ahead of the Xbox version. And as @traigusb14_ESO2 pointed out above. :)

Funny thing is the threads in the ARC forums requesting transfer use ESO as a reason it can be done lol.

ROFL! I read a few of those which is why I thought to ask again here... Pretty sure they said now cause we asked them during Xbox One Beta.....

Yeah not just behind, but it was weird. They gave us Chapter 5 combat and class balance... Chapter 5 DLC content... but not 1-4 or 6-8.

Gear, content and progression would have been really weird.

For those that did qualify to get the console transfer, they should give them another chance.
I qualified for this! I have been a devoted supporter of the game and I have been paying my share of fees, monthly!!

And just because I missed the deadline I do not qualify any more!! what an OUTRAGE....

    This is so ridiculous...

There was plenty of time to get your account transferred and I doubt Zen wan'ts to keep up with requests of copies, what makes ppl think they would pay more ppl to make sure accounts get copied when requested. Getting a reply from Support can take over 4 days and generally then it wasn't fixed either, or after that, or that, or that

I seriously doubt they want to deal with the hassle of transfers, or the cheaper copy
ZoS please understand everyone thinks and pronounces things differently, so please add to your 'rules' that things get removed if the Mod doesn't actually quite understand phrasing

Hey atleast if you buy it for 60$ you can start downloading it now!! The 20$ transfer has to wait till june 8th, haha. Considering I Don't care about my old toon and starting fresh the only upside is the 20$. Waiting till june 8th means playing the 10th- 12th probably.
