Does the PC version of ESO have voice comms?
Everyone I talk to in cyrodil all suggest I use TS/vent/ or mumble.
How come the consoles have voice comms but the PC version doesn't have it?
i just want voice GROUP chat.
i dont have a lot of times playing so im not an "active" players in any of my guild.
this means a lot of my dungeons run is with PUGs.
that also means, 4 out of 5 times, people goes "hey you have TS/Vent/whatever" and half people said no, the other half have different ones, then people gotta share their server info, then put their password, bla bla *** bla......
other MMO?
join a PUG. press and hold a button to talk.
Ya, I didnt really mean it for zone chat, more so for groups, tells, guild, social bubble (maybe like add people to your voice comms but they dont have to be in group with you).
Cant see 100+ people trying to talk at once, but I wouldnt just not exclude zone voice because some people might like it.
You just pick which ones you want voice for.
Like ventrillo, teamspeak, mumble isnt hard to download at all, doesnt take up much space... Yet I find a lot of people without it and I think its because people are afraid to talk in voice.

No, they aren't hard to download. But I'm in 5 guilds and they all seem to use different programs. Im not having 5 voice chat programs on my 'puter and have to manage 5 different logins to talk to every one.
Plus the random login b.s. for groups. ZoS can either implement voice chat for PC or I'll continue to type.

And can you imagine what that would do for the lag?
Great Julianos, please no.

proximity chat is never handy in an MMO, any MMO, any time, any mode, EVER...
Not entirely true, many top MMOs actually have integrated voice. There really isn't any excuse for ESO to not have it other than being cheap. EQ2, WoW, and even D&D Online had it. I was actually surprised that ESO didn't do it as it's sort of a staple of the more well funded MMOs.lordrichter wrote: »The no conspiracy theory answer is that the console platforms already have a common voice chat that is available and ZOS is making use of this. The PC and Mac platforms tend to depend on third party programs, like TS, Vent, Vox, Mumble, Skype rather than having a more integrated solution.
