Just because it "looks amazing" doesn't mean it will work as intended. Perhaps more will use it due to the lack of keyboard communication in-game. ::shrugs::

Heh. Currently, I'm still wondering if it's just bugged out or no one uses it due to the game's design of forcing you into guild searches.

In games like WOW, it doesn't matter if you ever get into a guild throughout your "career." Dungeon Finder --> GG. As much as they moved away from that mentality in this game, one would question why they even added a Dungeon/Instance Finder tool in the first place...

How it looks is far less important than how it works. Granted, it could not possibly function any worse than the LFG tool for the PC version, so I guess it has that going for it. The only way for it to go is up!

If there is no local chat to spam, the looking for group tool may see more use, which in turn may make it more useful!
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

    I disagree.

The LFD and LFR are very limited in their functions at WOW. Out of 4 difficulty settings for raids, you can only enter 1. Out of four difficulty settings for dungeons, you can only enter two.

PVP is restricted to skirmish only too.

The LFD at ESO offers much more, but people seem to not use it properly.

After watching the videos posted on Youtube, it does seem that the lfg function in the console version is much more refined and granular than what we have in the PC version. No clue how well it performs of course.

It was interesting how smooth the videos were too. No apparent lag. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens when they head into a more crowded populated Cyrodiil.

I assume the smoothness comes from being capped to 30 FPS. If we PC players would lock our FPS to 30, then I guess the drops that some people report wouldn't be so visible anymore.
That said, Consoles have the better API, so that developers can work much closer to the hardware than on PC and that's why I always preferred sports games on consoles than on PC. Its so much smoother with no frame drops.
We on PC most likely need to wait at least until autumn this year, until we see the full use of our hardware.

The big nuisance for me in regards of the console version is where the compass is located and that other players name tags are so huge. I am not sure how much this can be adjusted, but right now its a bit disturbing for someone interested in immersion. Its a bit like having those ads 24/7 :D

^^^ Also some games allow us to cap our FPS... it would be pretty awesome if that option was added in.

I saw it at my friends house...
    It works...

Basically it has pictures of the dungeons, description of the dungeon and it looks very clear and straight forward... just more appealing to look at.

I will ask him to send me a photo so I can show you guys what it looks like.

While the UI looks nicer than the PC version. There doesn't appear to be many functional improvements.

Like, for example, what is contemplated in threads like this:

It has drop downs and very basic functions like the PC. It's not that different really but ppl when ppl use it...it works cause there's no one spamming in a zone chat.

    Amazing how that works.

I really just hope the User Interface in general is improved for all systems/platforms ESO is on :). It's just plain not friendly or enjoyable to use, in all honesty, between either being unintuitive on the flow you take/paths to options or windows, or just outright not having the thing you want available in the first place. I've got a thread up in my signature with more conversation on that whole topic =) . /shameless-plug

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

    mmmmmm...no.

the difficulty restrictions in wow are by design, and do not mean that the tool does not work. you will always get a tank, a healer and 3 dps. this means the tool works as designed.

here, you will frequently end up with 4 dps. now, this could be that people highlighted all three roles, hit find and then said 'i'm only dps' as unlike wow, this game has no visual indicator telling you what role that person queue'd up for and was assigned by the system.

if that is not the case however, and the game is picking just 4 people regardless of role selection - the tool is broken.

Other than a layout change, I'm not seeing a big difference in functionality. Which is hard to tell as it doesn't look like anyone is using it here. Maybe it's because I only have a passing familiarity with the grouping tool on the pc, but is a vertical side scroll of the dungeons that big a deal?

Just remember the LFG tool worked fine at end of beta and then just a little after in live, then it went down fast and just wasn't working the way it was suppose too. Now they are saying the reason it isn't working right is because there is too many tanks and not enough of other classes. I believe that is just bull but who knows, maybe no one really likes to play other classes.
