Hello everyone!
I've been monitoring ESO for a bit now and I have to say it's a remarkable game with Game-Modes that completely go beyond traditional MMORPG games, specially with the no restriction of armor/weapons, and its open mechanic to build creation without limiting them due to specific classes.
I find myself troubled however, because every time there's a weekly patch, which is done on Friday's for NA and Tuesday's for EU, I cannot download the patch, and I'm stuck for three days (most of the time), trying to figure out how to fix it. This week was no different. Each week, when the new patch comes, I always get an error when downloading it:
"Error 1032 -OSError_Locked"
Now, this is actually quite annoying to the point that, doing numerous "Repairs" to the client, and having to wait that long so that, after the repair is done and patching restarts, it'll pop yet again the error. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client more times than we have fingers and toes. I've also tried running as administrator and turning off my Firewalls, just in-case it causes any interference, which in general shouldn't, no game should ever require you to shut down your firewalls for it to work, if you get my drift.
I've been trying to figure out what is going on and how can I fix it, but to no avail, going on Wednesday now and no fix. I'll probably find a way by Friday, which only leaves me two days to actually play the game before the next patch of the week comes, which restarts this whole hectic process.
Truly, truly, I say to you, although the game is remarkably fun, the weekly patches definitely destroy it for me, as an experience.
Is there any way to fix the client when it keeps getting these errors?
Thanks for the support, hope to hear from you all soon,
E.
