How do I get the second action bar unlocked?

Hi

My Mage character is level 25, and I'd like to have the second action bar so I can have one for my Destruction and one for my Healing staff setup.
But the switching feature has a lock on it.

How do I get it to unlock?

It should unlock at L15.

Have you tried to put a second weapon on your character? You need a weapon on each bar you want to use. I use the same weapon on both bars on two of my characters, just in different racial styles so I can see what I am using by the head piece.

Where do you see this lock?

Are you able to equip a second weapon? As well, if you are able to equip a second weapon, check what key bind is attached to weapon swap.

Hi

The lock is on the icon on the action bar, and in the dual weapons slot..
I didn't realize that the bar was tied to the weapons, (I thought you could have different configurations for the same weapon) but it won't let me equip 2 staffs.

It keeps saying (You can't equip that in your current state)?

Sorry missed level.

You have to have a weapon equipped in the second bar to swap.

When I point the cursor at he slot it says...

"You can not equip a second weapon in your current state".

I have no idea what that means, but my friend who is also playing a mage is getting the same message?

Put a weapon in the second slot, then try switching.

I see you've got Overload as your ultimate (or one of it's morphs - I don't remember which icon is for which). I can't tell if it's toggled to be active or not. If it is active, that'll be why your bar is locked and you can't equip a second weapon to use another bar. If it's not active, then I'm not sure what the issue is.

I finally figured it out.

I was trying to load my staff in the slot to the right of the one my main staff is in.

I realized that I have to put it in a slot under the main one.

When I did that it worked.

I don't know why I didn't see that there was a slot there.

It's not readily apparent, but you pretty much have to drag and drop a weapon onto the 2nd weapon slot. If you try to double-click or use the EQUIP command, it just replaces your current weapon. At least, that's what stumped me when I first hit lvl 15. What, you didn't know you could drag-n-drop? Lots of things that aren't in the 'manual'. Go figure.
