I am very active selling through guild stores, with 5 guilds and mostly 30 items in each. I love using add-ons to help in this process, for the information they provide. I was using Shopkeeper, but switched to Master Merchant. I know a lot of players are also using Master Merchant, I see frequent price quotes from it in chat. I have developed a love/hate relationship with Master Merchant. On the one hand, it makes listing items for sale very easy, especially setting fair prices. It also makes searching for items to buy at a fair price very easy, with filters to exclude overpriced items. This is where my hate for Master Merchant begins. When I list an item, most of the time I slightly undervalue the item. But if you reviewed my guild listing, you would see that most of my items are now red, i.e. overpriced. As a buyer, I love that prices for many items are dropping. As a seller, I find that if even highly valued items don't sell within a few days, they will be listed as overpriced, and I will be lucky to sell them. If one of my guilds misses it's usual vendor spot, my new listing are over-priced by the next week. Keep in mind, I always under price the suggested price. Any thoughts, words of wisdom, shared pain on the topic?
