All is in the tiltle !

Please, ZOS, unbind all those cool little items one can steal.
I want to collect them, I want to buy them from players, I want to sell them to players, I want to trade for them, I want to roleplay with them !

Please, do so, ZOS, there's a whole economy to start, with those items (and honnestly, why the hell are they bound, anyway? I cannot seem to find any good reason) !

I think I prefer forcing people to find their own stolen items to get Indecent Exposure.

Granted, that is a pretty minor aspect of the system and hardly important enough to determine the mechanics, but still.

A better reason to bind? It makes it impossible to store stolen items in mail until people get to refuges. Granted, Zenimax can place a custom restriction on mail like the restriction on putting stolen items in the bank. If they limited exchanges to face-to-face, it could make sense. There should not be any other means of exchanging such items though or you can easily remove the risk involved in walking around with stolen goods.

I totally agree with the OP.
I mean, it would be great to be able to collect these items, and to trade them to get them all.

It could have been done only after they are laundered ( as the OP said in the title to avoid trading stolen goods ) Exactly like the racial motifs.

    Yes, of course.
It make sense to only unbind laundered items, as said in the title of this post.

There was talk of a new collection achievement which was based on theses stolen items and all parts for the current collection achievements are bound only. You have to farm them yourself.

I wanted to trade my Khajiiti Erotic Pamphlet. Darn it!

Having laundered items not be bound makes sense to me. At least the costumes are not bound and I can still trade those before I color them.
Dozens of core groups that I participated in have left the game. We would bring our grievances here, but after years of white knights on the forum shouting down legitimate complaints, backed up by the inconsistent and biased hammer of moderators, we have all moved onto other games. Enjoy the sinking ships you've built whiteknights.

A lot of the stolen items would make great gifts for friends. One of my characters is a former follower of Sanguine now turned priest of the Divines (no prizes for guessing who), and a Guild friend gave him a "Sanguine Devotional Card". That item was white, so it could be freely traded. Then another Guild friend picked up a "Petal of the Sanguine Rose", which would be an awesome thing for that character to carry around - but it's purple, so can't be traded even after laundering.

I've seen so many awesome stolen items, but all people can do with them is link them in Guild or group chat. Which is almost a waste of the vast amount of time and effort that the devs put into producing such amusing flavour text.
