Silver and Gold not giving enough XP

So I just finished Cadwell's silver and gold, did basically all dolmens, delves and world bosses. Im sitting at VR8.5 which means, that the quests and everything give more than a level less of XP than they should and used to... I remember on my first char being close to or already V10 back in the day... anyone else experience the same issues?
This sucks bc now I basically have to do 6 Veteran ranks in Craglorn or with grinding...

My only VR10 so far was 250k short when she finished Gold, with all open-world and delve achievements complete (but without ever doing group-only stuff beyond a couple of 1-50 delves.

I have 3 VR3s all of whom are only slightly ahead of the 'curve' and that only due to their having already done exploration of the rest of the Silver zones.

Good luck taking a VR8 to Craglorn and making any headway in the non-grind content there, it's a dead-zone now except for some stalwart Trialists and VR14s farming CPs.

well how long ago did you lvl to V10? when I leveled my first char back when VR level where much bigger and before all the changes I had more lvls by the end of gold..

yeah its gonna be a painful journey

VR14 and still busy with the quests...with minimal grind. (yes you do need some grinding - just kill everything you see while questing and if you find a good grind spot spend an hour there before moving on)

I still don't understand how some players cannot reach max level by end of the Gold zone (no offense, of course).
Since the XP gain was changed a while ago, I have no problems to level up properly.
With my first VR14 it was different (before the change), it ended at VR11, including the Cyrodiil PvE quests. For the rest I joined some large groups to do the Upper Craglorn grind where it was still possible at that time.

My current VR3 Templar is still in the VR1 zone (Auridon) and not even nearly done with it; I was close to VR2 when I defeated Molag Bal. With my current VR2 Templar I WAS VR2 already when I defeated Molag Bal a few days ago.

I don't do dungeons btw and solo most of the content (what I can't solo, I leave out for the moment to do it later, eventually).

I think the "secret" is to grind on the way from one quest to the next, not even too much, just a bit.

yeah I basically only killed what needed to be killed.. but on my first VR14 char I did basically the same thing up until VR10 but I was VR 10 by the end of gold... this time it seems there is more killing/grinding on the side needed keep in mind my first char was a nightblade which aloud me to skip a lot of mobs and I still got more xp from gold and silver than I did this time around...

so I guess to anyone reading this who is lvling up... kill a lot of mobs :P
