Siphoning Strikes

Currently indisposed overseas so wanted to know if my theorycrafting is viable.

Once siphoning Strikes is toggled on, does that affect just the weapon and spell damage and not class spells or does it affect the overall damage. By the wording it seems as if it wont but I just wanted to be sure.

Since it reduce weapon and spell damage, it will also lower the damage from all the spells.
Amazing ability for tanking or DPS AoE, not so much for single target dps though.

So the max resource pool doesnt effect the overall damage or is this still affected by the reduced weapon and spell damage?

I am sorry if its a noob question just weirded out by the wording.

Not sure I understand your question. All damage is reduced, though Sap Essence or Rally mitigates a lot of the damage reduction. It's a great tool for tanking since it allows you to rapidly recover stam/magika. For solo pve it's good for aoe fights, or long fights like trying to take down dolmen.

I think the answer your looking for is yes, The resource pools do affect your damage output, i cant remember the exact ratio atm. The skill only lowers your spell/wep power numbers, Not the resources if thats what you mean.

Thanks mates, that cleared some cobwebs in the attic. Im guessing by siphoning Strikes alone a nb tank can be a beast in longevity fights.
