Post those screenies of the single highest damage hit you have received - I got hit last night for almost 35k - but PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

Would be nice to have an in-game reward for this....

Someone in one of my Trials groups got hit for over 100k in Sanctum LOL, I honestly don't remember who it was but hearing them yelling about it in Teamspeak had me LMAO

Wait - you didn't die when you got the 77k shot? How is that possible? I would expect a hit like that to be the LAST hit - or, most likely, ONLY hit....

Ya not to mention the 93, 893 lightning strike (that's mind boggling). Probably at Ancient Altar in Stormhaven. That Storm Atronach is brutal! Maybe all those hits are pretty much simultaneous, like maybe they register on launch not on hit.

Yeah, the all register at the final tick (not like order or reception would matter a whole lot).

And yes, @C0pp3rhead , that certainly explains 93k lightning, due to Vamp's weakness to lightning...? Those are likely all glitches, another party member in DSA also got hit to the tune of 20k+ pre 1.6, including Marked for Death, Dawnbreaker, and Meteor, all as a non-Vamp.

@purple-magicb16_ESO, @Terminus1 that was the first boss in AA, thought other Storm Atro's are also OP.

The only good thing about DR's like this, I never feel one bit bad about dying. Nothing to be done in those cases.

I see an issue with this though. ANY hit that is SO overpowered is really little more than lazy coding/design. ZOS clearly does not have anyone doing data analysis on in-game math to review these things.

SOMEONE (cough DESIGN) should be looking at this post and saying "OMG. We did something wrong. We gotta do something about it." But alas, it will not happen.

In the mean time - let's have some fun with it. I can see a high hit of 93k so far.... impressive.

In EQ2 once I went someplace I shouldn't have been and took a swipe at something that shouldn't have been swiped at. This was very early in the game and they had similar values to what we see here. But the resulting hit I had there? It was for over 8 BILLION damage. I was dumbfounded....

I have not seen a grossly overpowered shot at all since last Monday.

I don't see anything wrong with the above to be honest. Some attacks weren't meant to be survived. If you stand in red circles, or don't get to safe zones, you're going to die.

For those Valkyn Skoria pics, there's lotsa red circles that will outright kill you if you're caught in them. When he raises his sword and the atro's spawn, you need to be on the platform. If you use the walkways between the platform, you're going to get wrecked.

The Lightning Storm Atronach has some nasty AoE's that, if you get caught in them or don't press the block button at the appropriate time, you're going to die.

Champion Marcauld's Silver shards: you are a vampire or WW, right? Either that or you have incredibly low armor and/or health.

What I'm seeing here is a montage of l2p issues - know when to block, don't stand in red circles, and don't get butthurt when you make a mistake.

While I don't recall the exact scenarios regarding those, and most were already declared to likely be glitches, I assure you that none involved L2P.

This is not my first rodeo. And regarding L2Block..I'll humor you and say that with 50% mitigation, the high damage would have been a measly 46,500 damage - certainly more survivable. Had you read the posts above, you would have seen that other party members getting hit for high damage from things like Dawnbreaker, well before they were supposed to do that kind of damage to non-vamp/WW.

The screenshots weren't taken for QQ purposes, they were taken for amusement from incorrectly functioning events - it doesn't take 90k to guarantee death, even at x10 values.

I dont screen shot this stuff...

most i have gotten hit for in recent memory was a 77k "punch" from the manticora and i know that's not the worst to expect from that boss.

Ha, death recaps, doh.

I occasionally get one shotted by the most implacable boss in the game, you can't beat him and he strikes without warning.


The Load Screen Boss !!!


Your trotting through a dungeon or a town or the wilds and blammo, he's got you, his hit is that powerful that the game can't cope and the load screen is infinite so you have to close the client.

I hate that guy

I swear - I got hit once so hard there was no death screen or anything. Literally. The game just stopped. In fact - my PC turned itself off. No crash - no report - just off. To this day I have no idea what happened.
