Now bear with me now because I don't know if this a rant or a Question since now days you can't tell the difference on these forums. The current issue im going to stress is what is the point for this.bSi1A3l.png?1
besides the current issue's at hand, and people trying to report problems, or trying to figure out issues with there games there are only so little of staff actual doing anything in the public's eyes. that image is the Alliance War section where I post the majority of my post and comments, but it seems like a hollow land. Now this post is not about if staff reads the forums or pay's attention to us at all. but the real question is do they care as a company for its consumers? and whats the point for forums if they are brushed away? the response I see from the same four to five staff members is.....
A. Warning of TOS abuse.
B.Patch notes and images about patch notes
C.Quick Copy and pasted Responses
D.Typed out responses that just repeat them self's from earlier.
E.Closing of Thread because of a interesting reason.
F.Good reason of closing of a thread.
I understand that making a game takes time, But please understand leaving one plant dry as a whistle; while the other plant is over watered is a poor marketing strategy..[PC vs Console] Now don't get me wrong it seems you are still very busy as a company shoveling Crown store goody's down our throats.

I personally Couldn't care less about mounts in this game that cost $25 its not helping us as players. So for the love of akatosh start working with your community or this game is going to have a long bumpy up hill battle with its community till its death which seem very soon at its current state of affairs. Here is an idea I thought of in about ten minutes, why not open a forum post and have people post there guilds name and @ name to contact the guild, and then play with one guild a week like during your live stream, that would 1.Build experience with your community, 2. make a lot of people put trust back into you.
As always,

You seem to laboring under the impression that the forums are primarily a place for developers and players to discuss things. That is not what these forums are for.

These forums are for players to discuss things related to ESO. The developers may pop in from time to time to respond to a thread personally, but otherwise, our ideas/feedback are passed on to them via the moderators. These forums are not, have never been, and never will be a direct pipeline to the developers.

If you'd like to get your feedback directly to the developers, use the /feedback feature in-game.

to be honest I felt I had more response out of the forums then out of the /feedback command, and yes the forums at one point was a direct pipeline.

I'd stay subscribed for a subscribers forum that is used as a "development community"

Forum-goers are always under the impression that they're "special little snowflakes" and the developers should be talking to them directly because their individual prespectives are so important, they're so much wiser than everyone else, and only they have the solutions to every game's problems.

As stated above, game forums are primarily for players to go on and on about things they care about and hope everyone else is listening to and agreeing with.

    Reality check...

Forums are primarily a marketing tool... They maintain interest in the game. They let players blow off steam. They let players stroke their own egos. They let players come up with cutesy memes and stupid videos and self-glorifying claims of "server firsts". And every now and then, they serve to actually have a decent discussion and perhaps identify a real problem in the game.

But mostly they exist -- in every game -- because forum-goers tend to continue playing (and paying). And if a forum has the right number of shils (without being too conspicuous) and fanbois who post positive things about the game, they can sway opinions of the game.

    That's the point...

It's not that we think we're special, it's just that we're the ones willing to actually make the effort to come on the forums and share our thoughts about the game. The company that actually USES the forums to better their game will find themselves with a fiercely loyal customer base. There is no better way to retain a customer than to make that customer feel as if they "matter".

That being said, your reality check is spot on.

No, it wasn't. The only times the forums have been used that way was during beta. Since then, they have not served as a way for players to communicate directly with developers.
