Trophy Tab

The addition of the mount/pet/costume tabs were very welcome. However, its a bit curious that you stopped there. I have many trophies that are sitting in my bank just taking up space. They are very cool, flavor items that I dont particularly want to part with but also cant justify a spot for them in my bank or my inventory.

I'm just hoping that maybe you can give me a heads up that a similar trophy tab is in the works and I should hold onto these items? Their place in the game is very fun, add a special collections tab for them and the eso world is a happier place.

ps. less important of an addition but maybe a tab for all those appearances you collect throughout questing as well.

Don;t you agree @ZOS_GinaBruno? :)

    Yes, a million times yes.

COME ON, it's so easy to do this change. i want to keep my trophies but i dont want to waste bank space.

and guess what? once a trophy's deleted, it's FOREVER GONE. can't re-do the quest. can't recover. nothing.

    gone.

all that hard work creating these cool trophies (one summons 3 mummies, or make me angry and next attack add fire damage, or bear traps, etc...) they're all WASTED coz people (a) don't know what to do with them, (b) don't have the space, (c) both.

Not technically "forever" gone, as you could always create a new character and do the quests again.

But yes, I agree that it would be very nice if they didn't take up inventory space. :)

it's not the same. that object, that instance, is gone.

then yes i have to create a new char and re-do the quest, but it's not the same. and now it's forever gone from my main toon.

    it's gone.

It's not that easy to make this change exactly because of the effects that the trophies have if you quickslot them and use them (which trophy summons 3 mummies? I want to use that one!).

ZOS would have to do more coding to allow items from a trophy tab in the Collections to be selected for placement in a quickslot. The fact that quickslots point to items in your inventory, and the idea behind this is to not have the trophy in your inventory complicates it.

Having said that, it's by no means impossible, and I definitely think it should be done. It's just not quite as simple from a coding perspective as I think most people would think.

And bump for attention. This needs to happen. The trophies are not even character bound do this makes all the more sense.

Are they still? They used to be, but I thought with the addition of collections they stopped being something that could be quick slotted, and just ended up a toggle selected in the collections tab, like a horse is, or a costume.

@UrQuan I just checked, You are correct. They used to be. Still, trophies can and should be set as active.
Edit: I double checked. You can quick slot pets from your inventory still, there is a separate collections tab now.

Yeah, I keep all my trophies, but they're taking up my inventory space... It'd be nice if they could be moved to the collections tab. :/

Part of keeping a game fresh and alive is by having fun objects. Simple things devs can add to the game for flavor, that consumes time in game to farm, yet dont have an impact on balance are ideal. Other triple A mmo's have capitalized all over this idea. A trophy tab is merely a vessel to more fun trophies because you can justify creating more when they arent demolishing our inventory space.

Hence why I made the post. If you can keep people interested and hunting for items in an MMO I think you've succeeded since its a basic principle of mmo design. I think time invested to make this happen is justified by the value of such an addition. However, understandably you have production focuses but Im hoping this can get on your radar.

I've deleted all trophies except for the Bonesnap Binding Stone we got in the Bonesnap Ruins after I was doing this dungeon with someone special ;)
But I agree, of course, that it would be nice if all trophies would show up in the collections tab.

    Agreed.

Also add the ability to convert standard lootable costumes into permanent collections costumes. If players want to sell them, let them. But once they are converted into your costume tab, they are no longer tradeable. And they can only be gotten through quests.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Another agreement. It would really be neat to have the effect trophies from dungeons in a tab and not taking up inventory space. Just like it would be neat to have all the disguises turn into costumes upon completion of their respective quest and be added to your costume tab so you can wear them later on without taking up so much inventory space...

Considering the grouping tool still bugs out as it did in beta, don't hold your breath I a quick trophy storage tab.
