Difficulty level for returning player question

So I played some beta and a couple months after release until I had to start a new job and quit playing for a while.

I just returned yesterday I decided to head to cyrodiil and run through a couple pvp dungeons to relearn abilities ect. after having to respec. Now maybe it's just my memory but I swear when I quite that mobs were a lot tougher. Example 3-4 equal level mobs could be tough, 5-7 could easily kill you if you mess up.

I am V12 with mobs being the same level when I started killing things I was barely taking damage with enemies dying very fast. I also watched a v2 DK farming groups of 7-8 enemies which would be close impossible when I left just from the mobs damage output.

Is this across the board? I will be honest that I am kinda disappointed. I liked the fact you had to plan your attacks on larger groups and pay attention to what your doing or mobs could kill you. Heck I stopped bothering to even stop special attacks and didn't notice much of a difference. Is it just cyrodiil?

Yeah, they majorly nerfed PvE open world mob difficulty. Grinding/Questing my Nightblade to Vet levels was supremely boring. Even using heavily damaged gear that was 10 levels lower than my character's, I was still wrecking even the toughest encounters.

But every once in a while, you run across a new player having difficulty taking down 2 normal mobs and you have to /facepalm.
"Things which are alike in nature grow to look alike, and the speaking stones have lain a long time lookin' at the sun. Some believe they descend with the lightning, but I believe they are on the ground and are projected downward by the bolt."

    Fear my moustache powers.

    Tastes-New-Blood - V14 Argonian Templar
    Giblets N Bits - V2 Imperial Nightblade
    Skruyue N'Alyutu - V1 Altmer Sorcerer
Jolbie Firecrotch - L31 Nord Dragonknight

    Vehemence - - Valhalla's Guard

Damn. I like having hard mobs. Not saying all mobs should be tough like in newer/leveling zones but damnit cyrodiil should have the harder mobs. I am saddened that everything was Nerfed across the board.

I noticed the enemy guards around the towns are weaker as well. I used to avoid them now I can just kill them in 20* sec with taking little or no damage.

The mobs in cyrodiil used to be V5
They are now V12 but still using V5 stats (hp, damage etc), so they give exp as if they are V12 but hit like V5 mobs. (which is why players go into the delves, pull 40+ mobs and AOE them down, easy and good exp)

    The other zones are normal.

Gotcha. Are regular zoned v10-12 mobs still tough then?

There is no regular zone for V10-V14
The last normal zone is V10, then craglorn.
But Craglorn mobs are harder, but there exp is SO BAD.

    Kill 1 V10 mob in a V10 zone, get 500exp
kill 1 V13 mob in Craglorn get 300exp

For some reason, the made Craglorn the worst open world exp in the game and yet the hardest mobs......
