✭After DC got emp around 9:45pm PDT, half of AD logged out. This is far from night capping. Night capping is what AD does every day when the 40-50 DC players log off around midnight and have to start fresh every morning with the map completely yellow.
AD on Haderus should be thanking DC for teaching and forcing them to learn how to PvP.1 -

SafiyerAmitora✭✭✭Think I'll be back to PvPing in Had like I used to, but not on Bring The Pain for awhile (you can sigh in relief, local EP ;b). Gonna be focusing on lvling my Sorc with some PvPing here and there, and try to work on her to learn how to actually SURVIVE... Unlike last night where a certain two players ended up having to rez me half a million times.
Hopefully lvling my skills, getting to a higher vet lvl, and some practice in PvP will fix that... Being v1 sucks.

This is where you lost me. "Proto-hominoid need for macho-aggressive competition?" PvPers are competitors and derive their thrill of the game from worthwhile competition. Sports are a good example. Does one play football, soccer, tennis, etc just to beat the crap out of an opponent? No -- most play for the competition, that one "great game" or "great play." It is literally meaningless to beat an inferior opponent (and boring) or get stomped by a vastly superior one. That is why the incentive structure to PvP should be centered around PvPing -- not PvEing.

You guys took the final keep with more DC than AD defending. If you want to find where the 3 bars of AD were you need only zone into any of the delves.
I dont even know who had emp to begin with and didn't even know or care that you were taking emp when we lost it. The only organized group in the campaign left long before that to farm Azuras. The rest were just carebears and the ocassional solo PvPer.
Dont hi-five yourself too much...you're not the first organized group to mop up the campaign and you won't be the last. All the organized groups attack campaigns with unorganized resistance for AP. PVP in Cyrodiil long stopped being about the objectives and a competitive challenge and became more of a AP/CP farm. For that you take the path of least resistance. I stopped enjoying group play for this very reason.

I wish it were so. The chronicles of FENGRUSH cannot be summarized in a brief forum post though. Lord FENGRUSH is more than just a man though. One cannot simply depict FENGRUSH in an anecdotal fashion. One must embrace the omniscient force of FENGRUSH on the battlefield to understand its glory. Hi Ez -- I lead the DC group that mopped up Haderus for most of yesterday. I had to log before the final Alessia take but I was there on our first wipe (bad movement call on my part). The DC guilds participating were LoM, LB, MO. If I recall correctly there was about 1.5 groups of LoM/LB and maybe 0.5 groups of MO.
Here's the deal: we go to Haderus to escape lag on the crowded servers and to practice against (usually) overwhelming numbers of AD not to escape competition. Group play is particularly difficult in the new siege meta and we have been working on movement and skill strategies to combat the ten thousand siege of keep defense and offense. We have often wiped against AD groups there.
We want a competitive PvP server. We push emp simply to "stir the pot" so to speak. Everyone in guild hates PvDooring. But entire groups will rage-quit from lag spikes on Thorn or Chill.1 -

PVP in Cyrodiil long stopped being about the objectives and a competitive challenge and became more of a AP/CP farm. For that you take the path of least resistance. I stopped enjoying group play for this very reason.
Hi Ez -- I lead the DC group that mopped up Haderus for most of yesterday. I had to log before the final Alessia take but I was there on our first wipe (bad movement call on my part). The DC guilds participating were LoM, LB, MO. If I recall correctly there was about 1.5 groups of LoM/LB and maybe 0.5 groups of MO.
Here's the deal: we go to Haderus to escape lag on the crowded servers and to practice against (usually) overwhelming numbers of AD not to escape competition. Group play is particularly difficult in the new siege meta and we have been working on movement and skill strategies to combat the ten thousand siege of keep defense and offense. We have often wiped against AD groups there.
We want a competitive PvP server. We push emp simply to "stir the pot" so to speak. Everyone in guild hates PvDooring. But entire groups will rage-quit from lag spikes on Thorn or Chill.
Ohh I don't blame you for mopping up the dregs on Haderus, I'm all for it. I came to Haderus myself to escape the lag and since I typically solo or small group these days I really don't experience lag at all. I stay the hell out of Keep fights for the most part and typically try to pull a few people off of the main body of a mobile zerg to toy with for a bit or play "Bait" to gank groups.
Lately I've been going to Thornblade delves and mopping up groups of Bots and players alike. No lag in delves!
I don't PvE at all, and I could care less about the buffs. I only do enough PvP on Haderus each week to reach my Tier 3 and then I'm done.

✭✭Looking forward to more consistent competition on Haderus. We've been a discussing a guild move to another campaign for a few weeks now but with the influx from B2P there's has been times where both EP and DC have made strong pushes and had decent presences, but there's other times they come in to cap emp and leave. It's frustrating for us, and for the other factions' natives too I imagine. But it's always exciting to log on and see the majority of the map not be yellow.

✭✭✭PvP is meant for PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER. Buff servers do not provide this experience, and your entitlement mentality is blinding you to this truth.
Haderus was liberated once, I will not be surprised if it gets liberated again. Kudos to all the EP, DC, and even AD that are helping to free it from the selfish grasp of all the AD involved in keeping it to themselves.
you say 60% will quit if they don't get buffs? well good riddance to them. PvP already gets ignored for PvE anyway, and is already the vast minority in this game. Losing more people wont make a difference. Heck, once all the "give me buffs without me PvPing and earning them" people are gone, then people who actually care about PvP can come in and make it fun like it is supposed to be.
I myself would rather PvP be shut down than a free buff source for PvErs who really do not need them in the first place.2 -

You know Woodsro there are so many stories out there about so many AP farmers that I don't even pay attention anymore. I didn't start PvP until August of last year so I am not familiar with many of the "pioneers" of Cyro. I actually ran across Fengrush on AS I think the other day during a keep siege. I went after him but 2 or 3 others beat me to him so I figured he must be a real "popular" personality.
There's quite a few people who have a good hard hate on for Fengie.
