Using Multiple Rings of Mara?

So, can we get 2 pledges, pledge to 2 people and those two pledge to each other and so that when all of us are grouping together we would all get +20% XP gain?

I've never been clear on whether this actually works, but combine that with the +10% ESO Plus bonus, and the group bonus (or is that only for a group of 2? I've never been clear on that either), and it's a hefty bonus indeed. For that reason, I sincerely hope that when they finally put XP pots in the crown store they make them only +10%, or make it so that they can't stack with other XP bonuses.

Adding a 3rd person to your group would kill your bonus. If you want to max xp. Duo with a ring of mara and eso plus. I dont know if you can use 2 rings tho. He uses his on you while you use yours on him. Try it, see if it works and let us know

If not, then why bother? I mean I am already outleveling zones as it stands now, even in VR with just a 10% increase in experience. The one thing I have never thought I needed more of was experience (outside of the couple of weeks immediately post 1.5)

You can definitely take the pledge twice. In fact, you can take it as many times as you want, as long as you can find other people with pledges to do the ceremony with you. Of course, you can only possibly wear 2 rings at the same time, and I'm not 100% clear on whether the 2 rings stack...

Can someone please link me some info on this "group bonus". I keep hearing about it.. but I never read it in any patches notes etc. Was it always that way? Or was I added in Update 6? So confused.

As well, the rings USED to stack. No idea if they still do though.

You can get married with 2 people at the same time if you do this :

A uses pledge with B,
B uses pledge with C
C uses pledge with A

I did it, it works (at least it used to with imperial edition).


But the ring bonus does not stack afaik (last time I tried was one year ago and we tried it with 2 rings we did not see any difference). Furthermore, when you group with a third person you lose the 2-man XP bonus.

I'm pretty sure they do since CPs are gained by XP accumulation.

Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you. I keep hearing about the group bonus (and I think I have since launch), but I've never been clear on exactly how it works. I mean, I'm pretty sure it exists since I've heard so many people talk about it, but I'm totally unclear on the mechanics of it.

This does not work, people tried it when the game first came out, so a three way is not possible..

EDIT : You can use it with two at a time though as someone posted above as I think you can link three people, I have heard of this, but never did it myself.

To summarize,

the rings do add 10% to all experience, so for example..

And Yes the Rings work for all experience, so yes Champion points can be earned using the rings.

And If you are wondering how I know all of this, it is because I have and use the rings of Mara (it came with the Imperial edition when I first bought the game) with one of my trusted guildies on one of my Characters.

Now if they do add XP potions in the future and they are like what we have seen in pics and add +50% for 2 hrs and if it stacks (most likely it does and will, why would ZOS sell it otherwise..)

then that could bring the total to 90% more XP, then is would only cost about 10% (give or take) for a champion point,

Enlightened 10K XP
Non-Enlightened 40K XP

That is crazy numbers right....

I believe the reasoning for that was because it used to be that after lvl 50 you earned Veteran Points... not XP.. but that has since changed. Hmm.

@whiteshadow711jppreub18_ESO is the 2 person group bonus something that ZOS has ever discussed? Or what it figured out by players?

One thing I know for sure.. we need an ESO Mythbusters teams.

I could be wrong, but I think that was when VR levels didn't progress based on XP. I think that since they made the change so that they use XP for progression rings of Mara have worked for post-level 50.

Yes they do need to be in the same zone and some what near each other, the distance is quite far though as it is about half the length of the Vivec's Antlers Canyon to the shore in Stone falls (where the Dreughs are, sorry spelling).

Yes they do. You need to equip them like any other rings.

back in the day the rings only worked from levels 1-50 because when you went to a Vet area, VR1 or higher, you would get Veteran points, not regular XP points, but when ZOS changed that, they made the Vet area's give normal XP, then the rings started working in all Vet area's.

Trust me they work anywhere now, I have used the rings in Craglorn and VR10 area's and in Cyrodiil, they always work.

@whiteshadow711jppreub18_ESO I believe the AVA Buff is 10% AP not XP, unless I'm mistaken or you are refering to something besides the delves.

You're forgetting they'll Nerf mob and quest xp once they implement xp pots. With buffs bought with $$ it'll take as long as it takes to get a champ point now with enlightened, and without paying out real $ it'll just take four times as long as it does now with just base "enlightenment"
