Back to Tamriel :)

WelshySnow
Hi Guys :)

So after coming back to Tamriel after a long few months due to work/study... I have found myself being a complete new beginner and a bit of a stranger to the game :( I have a level 17 Templar which all my points have been reset and I can-not remember anything about my old rotation :( I am new to the forums so this may not be the place to post this... but any information would be great if this would best fit in another discussion page :)

I am looking for any information about my class. I love to heal in dungeons and eventually Raids but for leveling and the odd DPS in dungeons I would love to learn both builds and rotations... Is there any useful website's people use for these? :)

I understand I am asking for a lot here as I am a bit of a Noob now :P But if there is any guild's taking on such responsibility as too look after a Noob then I'm your Girl :D Oh I play a Wood Elf Templar for the Aldmeri Dominion :)

Thank you so much for everyone who takes a look at this page I hope to see you in Tamriel :)

Bummer my Templar is in the Ebonheart Pact or I could run around with you and coach you. I could bring along my Sorcerer and help you with some advice.

A Templar is about the best character to play the first time as it's very hard to die, as you main attack will heal you (Jabs and the Morph that gives a heal on that).

Anyway, how I did my Templar is first of all, she is all Magic, meaning almost all my attributes are in magic, other than the few that are in Health, all my Glyphs are in Magic, and my jewelery gives magic regen boosts and I run Seducer Crafted sets (and something else). With this set up, I never run out of magic and never die. She runs 5 Light Armor and 2 Heavy (chest and helm that I hide).

My rotation is to open with Reflecting Light, it gives a snare to slow down the mobs, and Damage over Time (DoT) then I either follow that up with another RL or use the Jabs skill. I never was too impressed with the Spear skill, but it does give a nice knock back the first time you use it on a mob. Then I would slot Breath of Life and Repentenance and I forget the other healing skill of the first 3 until those were leveled up. Then I would use which ever skill was appropriate (self heal or ally heal or ally plus me heal) for the situation I was in.

Once you unlock Purifying LIght, that is your lead off skill as it collects and holds damage until it explodes for a double whammy on the boss. The sklll that charges you in for a close shot with a stun is kind of weird in the Templar line, I prefer the Invasion skill from the 1H/S. Speaking of Weapons, I use a Destruction Staff on both bars on my Templar, one set up for AoE, one set up for DPS/Single Target.

Inner Light is key, get that from the Mages guild and build up that skill. Read the blue glowing lore books to rank up Mages. No need to quest for them until you want to.

Use the Aedric Skill Ultimate when fighting large groups of Mobs, or Meteor for 3 Mobs or Bosses

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Nestor is actually in a cross-faction guild (as am I). I've found it to be a friendly guild where people are happy to help each other out, and there aren't any crazy membership requirements. If you're on the NA server, I encourage you to check out the recruitment thread here:
