Can we increase the Field of View?

Is there any way to increase the field of view (FOV) beyond the maximum setting allowed in the Settings window? Is there any tweak? Why would ESO limit it if it uses our resources and not theirs?

There aren't any further in-game options, but (and this is a gray area under the TOS) many players use a fan-made enhancer called "ESO Launcher" which can be found over at Tamriel Foundry to broaden their options on this kind of thing as well as fog distance etc.

The only way i found is to run it in window mode and change aspect ratio by changing the window proportions

I haven't seen an official comment on it that was strong enough I'd personally feel safe using it, but I think it's unlikely you'd ever run into an issue given what the tool does. As they say on hot deal sites, "your mileage may vary" .

This is a good tool, removing fog and adding distance really fills the forests in well.

If you have a gaming mouse with a scroll wheel on the top, you can use that to narrow and expand the field of view (3rd person mode)
