I've consistently had mobs walk with my burning talons around them off out of reach.
How they can walk out of talons and still have the animation around their feet is crazy.
This has been happening since v1.6
Also the Synergy does not work occasionally my group says.
So I agree there is something not quite right about Talons.

So I agree there is something not quite right about Talons.
There are a few issues with Talons that I've seen. First, you must be IN Combat Before it will work. It won't work as a way to enter combat. I've had others suggest using an AOE on mobs first and then dropping Talons, which has been helping me a ton although it's not what I'd like to do optimally. I'd like to Root first AOE second but whatever. Outside of that, it's clearly glitching with mobs gliding on the floor backwards while enveloped in said talons. I've submit a bug report but I encourage everyone else to do the same.
Lately, I'm dropping the Talons at a 50% rate, but when I do, they are invisible, and the player, or NPC can still move while being CC'd. I can see the flames (Burning talons) but no talons.
