Console UI/Guild Concerns and Plea

Addons, You know em, You love em, You can hardly imagine life without them... And then, you transfer to xbox/ps4

The Eso UI was left with addon capabilities for a reason, there were a number of things that devs didn't want to program in, but wanted to allow players to have the option of through 3rd party addons.

Things like damage numbers, additional tool tip info, Waypoints marked on the map (vamp/ww shrines / fishing spots / etc), Crafting station info on the map, ... (skyshards ^_^)

These tools have extended beyond mere UI and into the area of things that SHOULD have been programed in, but weren't, things that hamper and annoy players to an extraordinary and unnecessary degree.

Imagine running a large guild, and NOT having Roomba to clean/organize the bank. That God send of an addon saves me HOURS every week, all because ZOS has ignored requests for auto stacking within the guild bank.

Imagine being someone who has a few alts, one of which is a crafter. Without a Research assistant addon. Congratz, you now have to memorize every trait you still need, or write them down and check them every time you sell an item on an alt. What a WASTE OF HOURS I could be spending playing.

These tools, and many more make up for the Lack of UI and forethought. On the PC we have an option to compensate.

On the consoles we will not.

@ZoS. There are improvements to your system, that you have been asked for, pleaded for, begged for, demanded of, screamed at, Since the PC beta.

Here on PC we have workarounds, On the console we will not.

Will you step up? Or will you give console users the finger hours of Google searches, non-stacking guild bank mats, the inability to see combat numbers, etc?

Things that will make your user experience more enjoyable (on both consoles & pc)

Guild bank controls (this all or nothing access is horrible for large guilds) (there are plenty of examples out there, Item withdrawal limits, Tab limits, Access tiers, etc)

Better functioning LFG tools

Things that are needed on the console due to lack of addon capability

Additional UI options (example addons; Azurah, Combat Log, Exterminatus Group Leader, MailR <(something you should have incorporated for guild officers in the first place), Map cords, Pointificator, Cloud Combat, Foundry Tactical Combat)

Key words, Options, and Examples (since apparently that was missed)

(I understand you want to have a Vanilla option! and I love it! On occasion. But there are times, when its just Not Enough for an MMO)

And as for the voice chat, i see talk of, Please for the love of god, Look up the Priority speaker function in TS, and Incorporate something similar to it for Raid leaders in whatever system you make!

This plea will likely be missed, unread, ignored. I'm used to it by now. Since people have been pleading since beta for better guild tools. And so far we've been given two, that were mostly aesthetic. Extra names/ranks and Pieces of cloth to drape over our armor (but not costumes). I do hope some dev looks over this, and actually considers some improvements for both consoles and the PC. It would make your game more enjoyable, especially for guild masters and officers of larger guilds.

And for the love of all complaints/trolls Please allow guild masters with current guilds, to reserve their guild name. I can see it already, the xbox trolls taking the name of Pride or Havok or etc etc, and trashing its rep while playing on consoles ... =_= you know it will happen ...

Uhmmm first of all...let's wait and play on console before we make any assumptions
What works for some is not for others....which is why there is a large and huge market of console gamers in general

In ref to add-ons, I've never used them in TESO intentionally because it's like buying a strategy guide when buying a game so that the guide tells you when, what, how, where, if....essentially taking the thought and fun out.

While some want all this stuff popping up on their screens a lot do not.
ZOS made significant changes during closed BETa to limit add-on capabilities and so today people have what they like. But ZOS tried to do things to allow customization but not allow clear advantages...they were only partially successful.

I used a ton of add-on in pretty much any MMO I played since 1999 but this non-add-on experience is awesome.
Figuring out what does best in each situation without any bars or meters is what makes the game playable and enjoyable.
Some of us also feel like those who use add-ons are cheating the system or gaining unfair advantages but it's allowed so we don't complain.

The two main reasons why I'm so eager to play on console are

    1. Voice chat
    2. UI changes for controller (I'm using one on PC now)
    3. No add-ons which means everyone is on the same even playing field (on the screen)

I wonder if the PC add-on UI will get more limitations when controller support is added
