Quick question

So I bought my ESO from Wallmart, and when I try to buy crowns online from the ESO site it wont allow me because it says my address is invalid. My question is, can I buy crowns on Steam and use them? Or do I have to actually buy the game from the Steam store?

You need an ESO membership to buy crowns from the site.

You need to have purchased to the game on steam to buy the crown from steam.

If you used the "free 30 days" membership, it seems to not count towards letting you buy crowns.

    Why is your address invalid?
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Alright, Thanks that clears it up. I never bought a paid membership for the game, I bought the game when it came free to play. As you can see I have an account on here. So in order to buy crowns I need to buy a membership?

Not to sure, But for some sites it tells me my address is invalid, even though it is correct. Usually though There is an option to override that and confirm that is my correct address.

I posted on another f2p thread earlier, going into great detail about the differences between f2p and b2pI am not doing it again today.

Dravakin, no offence, but re read that statement you put, and then ask why @LameoveR is saying omg and I am rapidly striking my head off my desk right now.... hehe

I'm sure there is a lengthy explanation between the difference of F2P and B2P, I was referring to no longer requiring a subscription to play, I know you can still buy subscriptions and what not, but once you buy the game from the store, playing is free you don't need to buy anything else.

And if I am totally wrong again, I don't really care seeing how that was not my question, and all I was wondering was if I could buy crowns from the Steam Store.

Not certain whether or not you can buy crowns from the Steam Store. I would have to think no, but I can't say that with 100% certainty. We'll have to have a dev confirm that.

From what a couple of different people have told me, If i bought my game through Steam I can buy crowns there, if i bought it anywhere else I have to use the ESO site. Which makes sense. Was kinda hoping for it to work both ways.

Yea, purchasing a ESO membership will allow you to buy crowns. It gave me an invalid while I had my 30 days free membership before B2P. However, I had purchased my game on steam, which allowed me to buy the packs from there.
