I still try to use it and sometimes it works. It's great when you're lacking a member or two, or just if you're on at an unusual time.

The reason people are not getting good results are as follows:
1. People are telling others that it doesn't work
2. Very, very few people are in the queue
3. Instead of getting in the queue prior to using any zone chat to fill a spot people just use zone chat
4. People don't encourage and suggest others to use it
5. People are queuing correctly

I feel like I have tried everything and it either returns nothing or it takes hours. Even when I cue as a tank or healer for VR1 & VR14 daily pledges.

It does work... kinda. It sometimes fails to find a required tank/healer, and sometimes it starts party with 3 people, but overall it works. But since its unpopular, and the populations is as it is, furhter spread through 3 factios finding team is a long process and mostly will work with pledges.

Mind you im not saying it couldnt be improved - it could and it should, but it works.

You're stating the only reason it doesn't work is due to player behaviors, but that's not true. Zenimax has confirmed there are problems beyond that, which fully implies a behind the scenes problems outside of player control.

A vast majority of people have said that it does not work for them. If it is player error (unlikely) it needs to be revamped so that people know how to use it properly.

LFG tool needs to be cross faction for dungeons, then. That means cross faction guild/friend -based dungeon delving, too.

Would absolutely use it if it worked.

I've spent literally weeks trying to use it as it currently is. I've yet to actually get a group with it.

Every group I've gotten thus far has been through zone chat. The tool is useless in my experience.

Nope, I have been in a few pug groups that some of the time work well as a team, but I would rather roll with people I know and work well with.

I will continue to respond to these inaccuracies until my experience changes. Every couple weeks, myself and 3 guildies all queue up for the same dungeon while flagged for different, and appropriate, roles. Of the 5 or 6 times we have done this in the last 4 or 5 months, only once has anyone been put into a group.

It 'works' in the same way a vending machine that eats 3 out of every 4 dollars 'works'.

I dont feel there is enough important group content in the game currently to merit a full fledged auto grouping system.

Most of the content can be done with a small group of people, so if you play with like 5 friends. . . you really dont need an lfg system .

I would use it IF it worked as an incentive based LFG. Tested the other day for 7hrs. saying it works is laughable at best and honestly doesn't represent the system that we currently have. Any longtime MMO player can tell you that what we have is the system I used back in EQ1 99'. Only thing missing is yelling "camp check".

Ok so I'm eating my words a little bit.
I started a new toon and lo and behold queueing as a lvl20 DK Tank for Fungal Grotto put me into a group within 5 mins. Same for the other 2 first zone dungeons.
Looks like it may be a case of people not using it enough in vet levels after all.

I still think the tool could use a revamp, but it does appear to be working when enough people are in the queue. (though still no luck queueing for pledges)

I still use it all the time, though it takes on average of two hours to find a group and that's me signed on as a tank. The biggest problem that I find is that I'll queue for a specific dungeon and when I get grouped everyone there all want to do a different dungeon, sometimes dungeons that I can't get to. It definitely needs to be reworked, but I'll still use it till then.

They need to give a reward like they do in ffxiv for helping out in lower dungeons and using the tool that would make people use it, something like elite gear only got by using grouping tool

I would only use it if my friends, guildmates, and dependable allies were all busy. I always hesitate to run with pugs - more often than not I want to get my pledges done in under an hour then go pvp. I don't have time to watch a sorc hard-cast crystal frags at a group of 7 mobs while they stand in red and suck up all my BoL's.

However, many other people are getting different results. Particularly in vet ranks and pledge groups.

Insisting that it's working fine and that everyone else is using it wrong, or that nobody is using it, is insulting to the hundreds if not thousands of people that have said otherwise. Not to mention official responses from customer support varifying that it's not working properly.

The only reason I continue to debate with you on this topic is because I am not convinced it's working for everyone and I don't want zos to avoid looking into it based on positive feedback.

Fair enough. Maybe ZOS turns off functionality during peak hours for server stabilization.

Although it would be nice if in the zone chat or whatever chat a system msg would prompt once every 10-15 mins to say players are your level are looking for a group (to encourage ppl to queue for whatever is available)

Give bonus XP for each time you queued for LFG.

But that won't help people that are level capped.

Give bonus Champion Points - THAT would get people using it.

But make bloody sure the system really works.

Given that there is so much content that is group focused, and some stuff is impossible to solo, the group finder should be a very high priority. I must assume there is no way at all to repair it, or I am sure they would have done by now. Please ZOS...I would love you to prove me wrong on this point.

I would have done a helluva lot more group stuff by now if the tool actually was WAI.

It should be a microwave but if you accept that it works like a crockpot....hmmm...perhaps I should skip the metaphor here.

I put my info into it and carry on with what I'm doing. It may take hours but I'm still building the Templar I'm focused on. Thus I'm not counting on it to deliver something in any specific time frame. I let it come as a pleasant surprise.

Yes it can deliver class and role mixes that don't make sense. Use it for the Silver pledge not the Gold.

If you've been doing the crafting writs right along you have a massive surplus inventory of repair kits. Bring them. You're going to wipe a lot. Plenty of people don't know they even exist. They can make the difference at the end.

Soul gems are also an issue. Questing is generally conducted without deaths now and, although most people who've been playing awhile have STACKS of the things in their backpacks, you often get PUG member who may have....two....or even none.

Buff food doesn't sell. You probably have plenty lying around that you've out-leveled but keep for some future alt. Bring it and be generous with it.

I've enjoyed the PUGs I found with the tool, even those that didn't succeed. Plenty of times you will helping folks get their first pledge key.

All the gripes are legitimate. Not saying the tool works all the time and certainly not saying it works well.

But I like a multiplayer game, I'm playing on a server outside my time zone, so I take what I can get, meaning responding to zone chat 911s and using whatever is there.

For the really tough stuff there will never be a substitute for folks you know who are on a voice server with it.
