Champion point glitch?

I'm wondering if I'm experiencing a champion point glitch or if I'm just not understanding how the champion points work.

So, I've reached level 10+ in several champion point categories. For instance, I am at level 12 for the "the lover" category. But I'm still not able to put my next lover champion point towards the perk that says it becomes available at the lover level 10. The icon for the "available at level 10" perk changes and appears that I should be able to apply my next champion point in that category toward that perk, but the game doesn't let me for some reason. I'm experiencing this issue with at least three different categories of champion point perks.

Is this a glitch, or am I missing something about how the champion point system works? (this was kind of a difficult issue to explain clearly, so I hope my question is making sense)

You can only apply points to the 4 lowest star in each constellation, you can apply up to 100 pts to each for a total of up to 400 per constellation.

As you hit 10, 30, 75 & 120 points invested the icon for the passive turns from circle to star, it is then active for you. You do not have to apply a point to that passive directly, it is unlocked hy the 10 points you have already spent.

It's a misunderstanding on your side. Those points are automatically active, you don't ever have to put a point in them.

The bonus perks don't require you put an actual point into it, they simply unlock when you reach the required investment in that constellation. You already have the skill active now.

They are passives at 10 - 30 - 75 - 125. You unlock them once you invest that many cp's in the constellation.

What I'm saying is that I've invested 12 champion points in "the lover" category, but "the lover" perk that says it becomes available at level 10 doesn't let me apply my available point to the "available at level 10" perk. I'm only able to apply my champion points to the perks that are available at level 9 and under even though I'm above level 10 in some categories. The icon for the level 10 perk changes from a circle to a star and appears to become available, but I still can't apply my available perk points to the level 10 perk.

.....like I said, this is kind of a difficult issue to explain clearly. Thanks for any assistance. I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing a glitch, but I want to make sure before I contact customer support. I might be missing something about how the champion point system works. ...plus, this is a hard issue to explain clearly.

I did not realize I was getting the benefits of the above level 10 perks automatically. I thought I'd have to add the points I'd earned in that category to get the benefits.
