Speechcraft and Mercantilism

Zos, please add mercantilism and speechcraft skill lines. I hate how speechcraft skills are in Mage and fighters guild and are effortless to obtain! Persuade and intimidate should Take effort and the shortcuts they provide should be earned!

A master in mercantilism should be able to open a shop. The shop as a solo player should be different from guild trades in that you can only sell one kind of item like npc sellers! This would be amazing and allow people to pursue other goals!

And no one would be able to spend points in intimidate and persuade untill they have completed pve and will not have any use for it? :p

I don't know what it would do exactly, but mercantilism would open up some horrific exploit and knock the economy screaming off the edge.

I did sorta like the mercantile and speechcraft from the single player games, but in this setting, I think it would be exploited big time and the ingame economy would be trashed.

The best trading community in a MMO was based exactly off this mechanic a few thing like no item repairs, you have to buy new gear when your old stuff breaks so the market doesn't go stagnant and the best gear in game would come from crafting too.

I can see where you are coming from and to a certain extent agree, but on a purely selfish level, myself and I dare say a load of others are using gold enchants/armour/weapons on PvE/PvP, and it would kill me to create or buy new stuff when my gear breaks down.

I do not mind `wear and tear` from operations and repairing but creating or buying new sets all the time would drive me insane hehe.

Does it take you the wholegame to level through a skill line? It really doesn't and the skill line wouldn't have active skills so it'd level passively. I don't think this is a valid argument.
