I got an email saying this: "You are eligible for The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy. You will find it on sale for pre-purchase for $20.00 at account.elderscrollsonline.com/store when logged in using your eligible The Elder Scrolls Online account on April 9, 2015.

This special offer to pre-purchase a digital copy of an Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4 version of the game, will only be available on the store for 30 (thirty) days. After the 30-day period, you will no longer be able to purchase this special digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for console or copy your PC/Mac account to console in any other way.

Ok.. So if I do that can I play the same account on both my Xbox and my PC? Same characters.. Same gear etc

There are literally 5-6 posts on this already.

Not to be mean or rude but before posting anything...first go click the support link. And type in a keyword, like "console" and read the FAQ info.
Then if you still have questions search the same keyword in the forums search...

I won't answer but others may just based on the fact that the email directs you to a page that answers all your questions and the support page will address all others.

No. This offer will simply take an exact copy of your PC / Mac account and replicate it. From the point of the transfer, the original PC / Mac account will remain 'as is', whilst the new console account will be 100 percent separate. Progress made on one account will not affect the progress made on the other account.

So yes, you can play the same characters, same gear, etc. What you do on the Xbox will not affect your characters on the PC.

What happens to our character names? Do they copy over to PS4/Xbone exactly as they are on our PC accounts? Or will all our PS4 characters have the same name which is our PSN name, and all our Xbone characters have our XBox Live name?

I did notice that the email says the transfer/game purchase will be $20.00 and then the store says $25.00. Curious.

The price differs based on where you are. Some are paying 12.99 in their currency while I pay 19.99 and as you list..it's 25
