When the champion system was introduced, we were granted five points per level. Additionally, every toon was nerfed, so that we would need champion points to regain our original strength. For example armor crit ratings were relatively low so that we would have to take champion points in critical strike rating.
In practice, however, veteran toons earn 2-4 champion points per day of playing. And, because of the nerf, we have to farm out champion points just to reclaim our original strength. So now vet 14 toons are farming xp again... except instead of getting skill and attribute points, we get champion points.
It's great that we're moving away from vet levels. However, we should not be nerfed and then forced to essentially "re-level" our vet toons, whenever major changes are added. Our character progression shouldn't be undone whenever Zenimax makes major changes. It's really demoralizing to feel like we're having to level a toon again, especially when there's no new content to level in.
Here's to hoping that future changes aren't as painful for vet players!
