Names on the acheivements

To my knowledge no one has pointed this out but I might be very wrong.
I think it is very frustrating that there is no name system on the achievements, (for a quick explanation of what I mean) when linking your achievements your name is written on it thus proving that you have indeed earned it. Currently if someone makes a group for City of Ash for an example and asks for people who have the achievements (to verify that they understand the strategies) or something similar, people can just link their friend's achievement and get in the group even though they have no prior knowledge whatsoever of the instance. Now I hate bringing up World of Warcraft but 'WoW' has this system. You cannot just link random achievements since the date and name of the person that achieved the feat is written on linked achievement.
Now of course this does not apply to raids and dungeons but for everything. I am a big achievement hunter and I like when i know that the effort I put in 'x' achievement was worth it. When randoms post random achievements from random dates you wonder if it is actually worth it...
Does anyone agree ?

Wouldn't you have to look up the specific 'Item Code' to link an achievement like that?

    Has this ever happened?

They would even have to find the code that shows the name of the person who earned it. I can't even see how anyone could link an achievement they did not earn.

To the OP, this is a non issue. Ask the person if they have done the dungeon, if not then decide if you want to show them how. I can't imagine anyone would lie about this, but maybe they would. And, even if they don't lie about and have done the dungeon before, and gotten the achievement, does it even mean they knew what they were doing at the time? They could have ran it with 3 others who carried them. Or, they were really good in a group with those other people but would otherwise suck with you.

This is why things like Gear Inspection and other things people want to do to make sure someone is worthy enough according to their standards do not work. It is too easy to game the system. If you want to see how someone does in a dungeon, then the only way to do that is to run the dungeon with them. It does not have to be CoA for the test, pick any of them to make this evaluation run.

If you want to run dungeons with experience people join a guild like Dungeon Dwellers, that is their part and parcel and preferred activity.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I agree with what you said but you need to understand that I was not only talking about encounters but for everything...
This is just my opinion, I just thought it would be cool if you could be sure that the person actually got the achievement (regardless of the context). CoA was just an example :)

As far as I know, you can link any achievement in chat, by just simply bringing up achievement and right clicking and selecting link in chat.

Although obviously if you have already achieved the achievement, (pun intended), then it will show date etc.

Great suggestion, put a feedback to @ZOS - achievements linked in chat have a way to tie to your character name. I doubt there's any negatives in implementing this.

I thought re-linking it created a link to your version of the same achievement. Guess I was mistaken :/

You should reach out to the Dungeon Dealers guild. You know those videos by @Shunravi and @yodased where they show people sweeping the floor in dungeons? Yep, those guys. If you want some good people to do dungeons with or learn how, talk to them.
