I am being stunned after coming out of being stunned.

As of coming back to game, and being vet 4 now with all my gear up to date skills maxed out I am contently being stunned. I mean as soon as I get out of being stunned I am stunned again, and again and again. maybe 2 seconds at the most if fighting humanoids that can stun. I do block from time to time, but my build is not made to stand and just block. This is really annoying when fighting 4 or 5 at a time, and as soon as I come out of a stun, bam I am back on ground, or curled up trying to break the stun. Is this normal or am I missing something? Thanks for any help I can get on this.

I'm not sure what sort of enemies you're fighting, but for the most part any character can block right before the stun is cast and avoid it, regardless of weapon or build. There's usually some sort of animation that indicates a stun is about to be cast. Uppercut is a good example. You don't have to stand there and block the entire time, just a quick one at the last second is generally enough to nullify the attack.

The other solution might be to use the heavy armor skill Immovable. You don't need to wear any heavy armor to use it, though you do first have to unlock it, and the morphs give you further buffs for each piece you do wear.

I am fighting mostly humans, and undead. I dont even have time to put up a block before I am stunned again. Its like they take turns immortalizing me. My build is medium armor, with one heavy dual wield with axes with stamina reg and aoe attacks as a Blazing Harvester – Templar build. So I pull 3 to 6 at a time, but for the most part like I said I will attack, I get either stunned, or that barb wire around the legs, can not break out of it with either roll dodge, or clicking both mouse buttons, the stun wears off, I get maybe one attack spin, and im immobilize again. Still unable to break out of it. I will give the Immovable a shot and see if that helps, thank you very much.

Interrupt (aka LMB+RMB) should work to break free of the root effect. I bind a single key for this for simplicity. If your being rooted continuously that is just game mechanics and requires a change in your playstyle. Either only pull one mob at a time for those particular npc types or use immovable as mentioned previously.

Also, you can generally hold block and then cast through it, rather than waiting to block (at which point blocking interrupts your casts). This is widely regarded as an unintentional quirk in the combat system and is divisive, but if it makes your life easier, try it out.

In addition to that, I'd be curious how many of the stuns affecting you are otherwise avoidable. Was the ability interruptable? Blockable (with a telegraph?). Dodgeable? In general in overland combat you want to prioritize defensive reactions over continuing to output damage, at least until you find you are way outclassing the things you are fighting.

Are you in heavy armor? If so get immovable since you're having a hard time with stuns. Also turn back on combat hints in the game settings.
