Weapon and Armor Suggestion

My suggestion is to make armor and weapons a little more interesting by adding major and minor armor traits.

Some Weapon/Armor traits do little to nothing to increase the effectiveness of the player and can often ruin a Weapon/Armor set piece for the player “you finally get that Helm/Shoulders you have wanted so badly but it is Sturdy”.

Why not give Weapons and Armor two traits, one major trait and one minor?

Armor Major Traits would be: Impenetrable, Reinforced, Infused and Divines.
Armor Minor Traits would be: Sturdy, Well-Fitted, Training and Exploration.

Weapon Major Traits would be: Sharpened, Defending, Infused and Precise.
Weapon Minor Traits would be: Weighted, Training, Charged, Powered.

This would make Weapons and Armor a little more interesting and finally give players a reason to use Chysolite, Amethyst, Citrine, Quartz, Almandine and garnets. None of the minor traits would make the player more powerful just some extra utility.

I would also suggest to give Exploration and Training an additional effect so that it does not become worthless at VR14. I will ponder over this and get back with suggestions.

It would also give us a reason to use the many many many trait stones that people NEVER want....

This is actually a very good idea.

It would solve balance issues, give people a reason to use traits, and let people actually personalize their gear like the developers originally intended for us to do.

    LOL!

I always find it interesting to see which traits other people find important.

    Also, you forgot Nirnhoned.

@AlnilamE yes I did forget Nirnhoned, thanks. Of course it will be a major trait.

I grouped each armor trait based on if they had an affect on your stats. Were "Impenetrable, Reinforced, Infused and Divines" have a direct impact on your stats "Sturdy, Well-Fitted, Training and Exploration" does not. Each of the minor traits only add some type of utility/convenience buff.

Weapons were a little different, so I thought about combinations that would not make weapons overpowered but still get good use from two traits.

I placed waited as a minor trait because most players use light and medium weaving or animation cancellation reducing its effectiveness.

Charged is a convenience item simply because it reduces the amount of soul gems you need.

I placed Powered in the minor trait simply because I thought it was less important than the other major traits.

The problem that ZOS would have to figure out for this is they would have to change all of the existing Major Traits that will become Minor traits to another trait. This would actually make these items we like more desirable. The problem I see with this is it would create too much work for them to do in their eyes. They cannot even update the existing drops from dungeons to be V14 for a lot of sets. They seem more concerned with adding new things to the Crown Store than fixing/re-working things that people actually want.

ZOS Meeting, "Oh, people don't want a V14 Warlock Necklace or ring, they would rather have this cute puppy pet. Let's put all of our development on creating those things for the Crown Store.".....
