Lanucher Error Code 1032

Hi,

My launcher has gone bonkers. I get code 1032, which is "one or more files are in use by another process" and I just want to update my launcher. Tried running repair (oh noes!) and just get same error code.

Please help!

Have you tried bypassing the launcher and running ESO directly from eso.exe?

Yes, when I get into the client Im told it is an outdated client and should update the game through the launcher - which of course doesnt work..!

Every ******* single time!

Oh, ok...didn't know if you had already updated the client itself or not, sorry.

I'm sure you tried restarting the PC, right? What about running the launcher as admin?

I wonder if you could even run the launcher in safe mode...

Try running the eso.exe to ensure your game works. You do need a working launcher for updates so the problem does need to be addressed. Just troubleshooting to ensure it's only a launcher issue. Problems like this should be posted in the General Help forum but I am sure a mod will move it for you. If you can't get the launcher working submit a ticket and put your ticket number in your post title so the mods can see you have submitted a ticket. I've had launcher issues since Monday's patch as well as many others. Something went wack to say the least with the launcher this update.

If you are running Windows have you opened Task Manager to see if the game or launcher are still running? It may be that the launcher process is hung even though you can't see the launcher. If so you can right click on Bethesda.net in the Processes tab and click "End Process" and see if that releases the files.

After some fiddling, restarting and checking processes, I apparently got my launcher to update "normally". I now have an updated game.

I can log in with alts (fed both alts horses), HOWEVER, every single time i try to log in with my main, the game crashes and I get the crash prompt for submitting a report.

Why is this only happening to my main? I can play with my alts fine (they are both in Cyro, while my main is in Grathwood). Is the game purposefully trolling me? What is going on?!

There are some issues with high populated areas since they went B2P. If it keeps crashing submit a ticket and ask CS to move that character. Usually that fixes the "glitch" and you can then access the character and play.

Yes, I have played A LOT since b2p and Grathwood was never a problem .. this is NEW

Anecdotal but Grahtwood for me is horrible to zone into lately. Ninety-second load screens sometimes. Not sure if related to your problem
