I know Rawl'kha is great for AD.

What about the other two?

riften would be ideal for one if they were able to get past the phase..

What do you guys suggest?
This is were my signature would be if I was allowed one.

Shornhelm in Rivenspire is my first choice for DC characters.

Wayshrine, Bank, Horse stables, all 3 crafting stations, and entrance to Outlaw's Refuge are all very close to each other.

I use Shornhelm a lot due to having the wayshrine, bank, and crafting station all relatively close together. For a pure mule that does no crafting or anything, basically just holds stuff, I'd like to try to find an area that is the least populated so it won't take forever to switch characters and load into the game. I already spend enough time on logistics. I'd like to get in and out of the mules as quickly as possible. I hate having to use the Daggerfall bank or even the Shornhelm bank for this because both are quite crowded.

EDIT: For AD, I'd like to use Velyn Harbor. I have 3 alts that I haven't begun leveling yet, and two of them do craft a little. I log them in to train the riding skill too in the event that I decide to start playing them. Velyn Harbor appears to have the wayshrine, bank, stable, and crafting station all pretty close together. I managed to get my lvl 3 AD character ported there and subsequently died very quickly because the area is apparently phased and full of enemies. :(

No stable, but I like Dhalmora in Bal Foyen. Huge Argonian hut with all the crafting, banking, dye table inside. Great for confirmed mules/crafters that never need to leave
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Honestly Mournhold for EP is what I use, you have a merchant in the bank.

My favorite, aside from needing the stable on one mule who ill play at one point.

Velyn is great, just got tired of muting the same repetitive bank song.

I used to like Rawl'kha but after I couldn't log onto two separate toons (at different times) I moved them. There's just too much pressure in such a small area. Slightly more convenient for crafting isn't worth the chance of a toon being unloggable for a week. Skywatch is ok, a little spread out though. Elden root is pretty nice, only the stable isn't convenient, but no load doors is awesome. I really, really wish Dune had a bank, I'd love to be there.

Dhalmora's great for EP and I like Daggerfall for DC. Fairly spread out, but I like being near provisioner writ drop-offs for the lowest levels. I'd be on Stros M'kai, one of my favorite places in the whole game, but the cooking fire is just too inconvenient.

I actually prefer Velynn Harbor in Malabal Tor for AD. Bank, crafting and stable all nicely close together.

I prefer Velyn Harbor as well for my AD characters.
    Stormhold in Shadowfen for EP.
    Shornhelm in Rivenspire for DC.

For EP, you want Stormhold in Shadowfen.

Mournhold is good... lots of guild traders next to the crafters, but the bank is a PITA.

I park my mules in the following locations:

    DC Daggerfall
    EP Bal Foyen or Mournhold
    AD Marbruk or Skywatch

Note, my Mules are all low level (L4 to L6) so they can't get everywhere in the game.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

For low-level EP, Bal Foyen if you don't have a horse to feed. Stormhold in Shadowfen if you do.

Stormhold is also the best horse-feeding drive-through location in the game as the stable is right at the wayshrine.
