Any more competitive campaigns?

Haven't been in Cyro for a few weeks. I checked on the NA TB score a few minutes ago and it was:

EP 34k
AD 6k
DC 4k

So I guess TB is not the most competitive campaign any more. Is there a decent campaign any more? Or is everything just a buff server now?

I've been trying to read threads in this forum but all I see is the a lot of the same people blaming each other for the lack of good Alliance War campaigns or talking about EP lagsploiting. I don't know anything about that or if it's a conspiracy theory or what. But I bet most EP have nothing to do with that.

I'm AD, but I don't just want to go to Chillrend if it's the AD buff server.

If there is not decent campaign, there's really no reason for me to bother logging in.

Just looking for some ideas on where it's fun to pvp. No lagsploit theory in this thread, please.

If you see a map that has a low population for your faction, go there. Help them. Help make competitive compaigns.

You can always check http://www.esostats.com/. In my opinion Chillrend isn´t turning into a buff server. The last Emperor was EP. Now there isn´t one and the scrolls are in their home bases. I am sure you can join AD on Chill as the balance won´t tip off that much.

A lot of people won't want want to answer this because we are sick of the ep guilds that have ruined the game and don't want them following where we go. Shame isn't it that a handful of people have ruined the game for hundreds?

Looks like Azura's Star would be the most fun at the moment for an AD group that likes to pvp.

It's really too bad what happened to TB.

I wonder what the solution for Alliance War could be. There are too many campaigns on the one hand, so the faction populations are segregated in an unhealthy way. On the other other, it seems like the tech can't support too many people in one campaign, so if the number of campaigns is reduced, we will get queues that are too long if the pop caps are reduced or horrible lag and other performance issues.

What's the solution?

Well it appears that red is spreading so they'll find you and nom nom on you soon enough. I mean there's only so many options right?

I tend to agree with the Op. I don't know anything about any deliberate lag exploitation. I tend to think problems are simply a matter of population disparities, PvP focused guilds, and hardware issues.

I just know that the current situation makes for unbalanced, tedious game play.

I would think that one solution is a soft-cap on population on the largest alliance in any given campaign so as to maintain relative parity, but I don't know if that would fix things or not.

But I do know it would be good to hear some form of acknowledgement from the development team, that there are contemplating the issue and are working through a course of action on it. When the disparity is this pronounced, I don't think a 'wait and see', or 'we'll say something when we have something to say' approach is a good idea.

Maybe it's just my subjective impression, but things seem -really- out of whack right now and even a 'we're aware of it and are thinking things through' would be better than silence.

Azura's Star only decent one I've played in recently. Chillrend is not bad either.

Thorn is EP buff server, Azure Star or Chillrend till a turn over happens and a certian group of special people settle elsewhere.

We (AD and DC) have surrendered TB to EP (and to lag) at least for now. Well fought, GG.

As others have mentioned, BWB, Azuras and Chillrend are the most competitive campaigns right now.

If competitive PvP becomes more distributed between the campaigns, I think that's actually a good thing for both the servers and for the game as a whole.

No offence to anyone at all but after all the months of being told I'm not a real PvPer for playing on Haderus, Chillrend, and Azura's Star, I'd prefer if all you people from Thorn stayed on Thorn.

EU OR NA???? Of course it is NA but come on, you have to specify. I've been on Chill for a long time now and unfortunately the lag has crept in. Most of the time it is alright, but very frustrating when it is a vital assault or defense and everything goes down the toilet because your abilities won't work. I'm thinking of trying out Azura now, and if that doesn't work, possibly going back to Thorn.

The real pvp is happening on Chilrend and Azura Star. The lame pvp is happening on haderus and Thorn.

I'm on NA. Our guild just moved to Chillrend finally. Lots of great fights there right now. I expect that eventually the same thing that happened to Thorn will happen to Chill and we'll have to move again, but enjoying it for now.

A couple more servers, and make it easier to swap campaigns. There should be no drawback to playing on the whichever map suites you at any given time, but perhaps you gain more Ap playing on your home map. Something to that effect. In the end it's numbers which determines balance. And whichever faction has less players will get night capped.

But if a map stays one color it's because it is empty. Players need to be incentivized to defend and also retake maps- perhaps if the scores from all campaigns were added up and whichever faction has the highest grand score wins that cycle. This would give people a reason to spread out and also work together across multiple maps.
