4 most annoying things so far in the game

1, After killing some mobs, we start to talk with an npc, then the mobs respawn and attack us, interrupting the dialogue. We should be immune to everything when we are talking to npcs.

2, Boundless storm damages neutral mobs too, which initiates combat. I like to run around with the +40% speed bonus, but it is so annoying that I can't peacefully go around with this skill, cuz it does attack everything it can. It does not attack peacefull civilians...so why it has to attack yellow/neutral mobs?

3, After a zone change, our focused abilities disappear.(mage guild's inner light, deadric summoning's Unstable familiar) Every single time I go into an instance or change zone my pets and my otherwise permanent buffs disappearing for some unknown reason, forcing me to reapply them again.

4, I'm currently lvl 26, and I'm able to use the dungeon finder system to q for the 3 lvl 24 dungeons. After some time the game finds a group for me, which most of the time disbands by choice, cuz we have no effin idea where the instances are. We can't teleport to them like we were able to do with the lvl 10 and 17 dungeons for some reason(We can't see them on the map). I'm not sure if we r missing something, but why don't the dungeon finder simply teleports us, or let us teleport freely into the dungeon we qd for? This is the basic behaviour in other mmos too I played(rift, wow), and should be the basic behaviour here too imo.

Number 3 is an issue mainly because the game actually has you move around channels / etc. much like Guild Wars 2. Final Fantasy XIV doesn't remove them because the game translates buffs directly to the new area (Most free to plays also do this anyway, or have the buff in the database so that the buffs continue to tick while offline, or not depending on code) (Since there are no channels or megaservers.) That's one reason why reserving an instance can take a while on that MMORPG. This also may be a hindsight to Bethesda / Zenimax, since their developers haven't had to deal with something on this scale before.

Number 2 isn't something new. In Final Fantasy XIV, WildStar, there are permaBuffs / permaDebuffs / Ambient Debuffs that you can initiate, which will aggro enemies around you due to the way they work. (Medic in WildStar's main builds use this, it's called Null Zone or something, and I hope WildStar devs didn't remove that feature of that skill. In Final Fantasy XIV, it's called Foe Requiem, it increases incoming damage on surrounding enemies from magic sources, it aggros enemies in the open world obviously.)

Number 1 cannot be changed due to the way cutscenes and whatnot work in Elder Scrolls Games. As for "Talking" pretty much any MMORPG has that, Final Fantasy XIV, WoW, RIFT, AION, All the free to plays (TERA, Eden Eternal, Aura Kingdom.) Cutscenes however vary from game to game. In Final Fantasy XIV, they changed how cutscenes effect you shortly after 2.0 released, because players were having trouble with arcanist newbies forcing others to be removed from a cutscene, among other complaints. Cutscenes in FFXIV now disallow enemies from even hurting a player, nullifying all damage and AOEs and debuffs and status effects. Again though, ESO can't do that because Bethesda makes it so you can move / interact while "Cutscenes" are working their magic.

    1. Broken/buggy skills is the number on issue, effectively breaking certain builds.

    2. Performance issues. Latency, freezes, infinite loading screens.

    3. Aesthetics. Everyone looks too samey, too little variation between armour models.

    4. Too much damage in PvP. time to kill is too short, skirmishes are 2-shot fests and over before they begin.

    1. No auction house, waste too much time porting all around the map trying to find stuff to buy.
    2. Too little storage/small shared bank. I spend far too much time on logistics moving stuff around to mules and back to my main.
    3. OP's #1 is starting to wear thin with me too. Tired of combat knocking me out of dialogs and reading books/scrolls, etc.
    4. Extra storage is absurdly expensive.
Some people like the guild trader system. I think it's a horrible idea and that they won't implement a real AH because they can't figure it out with the megaserver concept. I personally don't like spending 30 minutes or more traveling around all of the zones to find something that I need. Then there are guild traders that are out by themselves in the middle of a zone. There is also a trader in the underground fence area. I'm not wasting my time hitting these solo traders. I'll hit the ones that are grouped together and move on. Doing that alone annoys the hell out of me. It would be so much easier, better, faster, more efficient to be able to go to a central AH.

I think the lack of storage may be related to the megaserver concept too. Learning that the little bank was shared across all of my characters when I first started playing was a very big letdown. The two primary reasons I dropped my subscription prior to Unlimited was due to wasting too much time on logistics and the lack of an AH.

I was reading a quest note earlier this morning and was knocked out of it when imperials spawned outside the tent. I killed them and the note was gone. I had to dig through the UNSORTABLE and UNSEARCHABLE lore library/eidetic memory to find the note. Then on another quest I was talking to a character that I had to pay 300 something gold for information. There were no intimidate or persuade options. I got attacked while talking to him. I went back to him and the dialog was gone with no option to pay him again either. I have no idea what he was trying to tell me.

Storage is ridiculously priced. The vets will all say that it's fine and they need gold sinks. That's easy for someone to say that's been around for a while. For newer players, it's a big turn off. Storage is almost a necessity. It will cost me over 11000 gold for the next bank upgrade and I think the next bag upgrade will be around that price too iirc. I have about 20k on me total. I cannot afford that. I can't imagine having to buy bag upgrades for alts too. :/ If you want gold sinks, make it stuff that isn't essential.

@Omenpapa I can help you with #2 (which I agree is annoying)

Go to Cyrodiil and do the tutorial - or choose the option to skip it - either way you get a skill point and open up the Alliance War / Assault skill tree, and can take Rapid Maneuvers. Everyone should to this the moment they reach level 10, as going fast is good. +40% movement rate increase for 20 seconds, and it can now be cast while mounted without dismounting. Invaluable time saver.

The fact that it's not a perma buff is the reason I won't get it. I can already infinite sprint on a horse (Unless I let go of sprint or if I get hit by an enemy), so I don't need it in PVE.

Is this the skill that is an AoE skill that affects the friendlies around you? I sometimes have someone run by me and it puts a temp buff on me that leaves gold streams behind me and causes me to move quickly. I thought it was a class skill. If it's a skill that I can learn on my NB, then I NEED to get that! Can't believe I've made it to 42 and didn't know about this. :p

WAIT ALL WILL BE ANSWERED WITH THE CONSOLE RELEASE!
    /sarcasm

One year on and nothing has been implemented as a 'quality of life' improvement. Things are still as janky as before.

    ESO NEEDS:

    1. Global auction house
    2. better ui elements (nameplates, inventory management and sorting, moveable ui etc)
    3. Remove the bloody Veteran crap. All this creates is a barrier betweem other level 50's and not to mention the world of Tamriel. Open up the world to everyone regardless of level like a TRUE Elder Scrolls game. This will solve the veteran content problem and ZOS can focus on true end game content (raids etc) Why is it called Tamriel Unlimited if we're stuck in a corridor of zones??!?
    4. More classes.
    5. Change your appearance.

I didn't realize what it was, that made my weapons unsheathe, either when I played in the beta at first, but luckily someone kind told me what it was. I try to pass the information along. :)

You may not like the fact that there isn't what you consider an AH system in the game but this is not another game, it is ESO.
If every game had the same functions as every other game then what is the point of playing a different game. You play a different game for that very reason, its different. The way this games store options for selling items to other players works just fine the way it is. Sure it takes some getting used to but it works just fine. If you noticed your able to join 5 guilds. I joined 1 social guild who I use to group with other players and general chit chat. The other 4 guilds I joined I joined guilds that are primary trade guilds. When you go to the bank you can simply have access to 5 guilds worth of stores without having to run around and search. The guild store system provides a way for guilds who put in the time and effort of actually having their vendor placed in the world in a location they prefer which allows a player driven economy and a pride factor of being able to directly affect the game world through your guild.

Storage space is limited and was hard to get used to as I first started playing. I have been playing just over a month now and I have purchased quite a few upgrades to both my bank and my personal storage. I am doing just fine. Do I want more storage, of course; who doesn't...but it is not impossible nor is it to difficult to acquire more storage. I have put in a suggestion via the in game suggestion tool that they add crafting storage space or space in general purchasable via the crown store. You may not like this idea of having to pay real money for storage but that provides Zeni..a money maker, and in case you forgot it costs money to keep this game up and in development and without the monthly subscription any longer they need to find more ways to bring in cash flow. Not saying that you feel this way but it baffles me the amount of people who feel like they are somehow owed something for free in this world. This game is someone's job. It is the way the employees of this company provide for their families.

We are lucky enough that they removed the requirement of being forced to pay to play this game at all. I still pay my subscription because I support this company and their game and I know that it costs immense amounts of money to support and grow any game and I want this game to be around for years to come. Also remember you can also upgrade your mount each day up to 60 times just for storage giving you an additional 60 personal storage slots. Yes it may take time but isn't that the point of playing such a game? So many things have changed in the MMO community because of games like WoW, as great as that game is it has brought huge disservice to MMO's in general by making things so easy that you hardly have to put any time or effort into acquiring anything.

The whole point of an MMORPG is to live a virtual life through the eyes of your character. Being able to get anything you want with no challenge or time sink completely negates the point of playing an MMORPG and within weeks you would have everything the game offered and you would find yourself completely out of things to do. Your supposed to take your time and grow. Back when MMORPG's first came onto the scene it used to take years to reach end game and when you got there it took you years to acquire the majority of items available to you and it also took 40-60 other players to even help you "TRY" to acquire those items. This created a game structure that gave you something to look forward to for years to come and a true sense of virtual accomplishment when you finally did get that upgrade you worked so hard to get.

I understand that not everyone has unlimited amounts of time to sink into a virtual world but even in the real world you get what you work for and a virtual world based on that concept should not be any different. Why should a person who spends 1hr a week playing a game be able to stand equal to the person who spends far more time investing in their character. For a single player or just a multiplayer game that idea system is correct but it does not work in an MMORPG. This is supposed to be a virtual life as realistic as possible in many ways to what it would take you in real life to accomplish if one were actually living in the world any MMO game developer has created.

As much as I agree with much of what you say as far as I would like to have certain things change, I also understand that a developer of an MMORPG must figure out how to make a world to which they can appeal to the majority of their target audience and keep that audience interested for years so they have a constant revenue stream. With that also in mind they absolutely cannot make every single player happy 100% of the time and the simple answer is, if a game does not have what appeals to you, nobody is forcing you to play said game. Do some research and find a game that has the type of structure that appeals to you most and play that game, but do not come to a game and expect that they should be required to change their gameplay style to accommodate you. Suggest but don't get upset if your suggestion is not taken.

When any person goes to a games forum and says, fix this or I'm quitting is not accomplishing anything because the way a developer sees that type of comment, the first thought that comes to mind is why should I even care what this person thinks when they have no loyalty towards our game. If they take the immense amount of time to spend catering to someone who will bail on them will just simply find something else to complain about after they fix that issue. Again forgive me if I seem to be saying you in particular are incorrect, I am simply speaking in general and not pointing fingers at anyone directly. If I am still not coming across properly maybe this will explain what im trying to say a little better. Why should a company spend the time, money, and effort changing something for someone who may not even be around after they make the change. Their concerns would be more financially viable to try and cater to the player that they believe will stick with them for the long haul and be a continuous revenue stream for them through the good times and the bad times. They need to find the majority opinion and then weight that opinion vs players who are just here to get whatever they can for free against the players who are actually supporting their company financially and allowing them the ability to be able to afford to keep their game running for years to come.

When it comes to gold sinks it defeats the purpose of a gold sink if they only used gold sinks for items that are not essential. If its not essential then everyone would bypass it and therefore making the gold sink ineffective. They need to weight their gold sinks with a balance of ones that can be avoided if the player chooses but also ones that the player will pay a heavy cost if they do bypass that gold sink. Nobody forces a player to buy more bag space, it is a convenience and therefore one should have to pay for that convenience. As your toon gets higher in level just like any other game in this genre you start to earn more and more money making such upgrades easier to acquire. Learn to have patience, take your time, do all the quests the game has to offer and the money will roll in just fine. If you do not like doing questing or devoting that kind of time into a game then the real question you need to ask yourself is, are MMORPG's the kind of game I should be playing. If a game is not fun for you or even if 75% of the game is not my style it seems to me that I should be looking for a game that is 75% more my style but the last thing I should be doing is trying to force a game to become something other than what it was designed to be just to fit my personal opinions. There are millions of games out there and none of them will be 100% perfect 100% of the time.

I believe a lot of the confusion is the fact that the term MMO has been confused with the term MMORPG. MMO is Massive Online Multiplayer, which can technically be linked to any game that has a large online community of players who are able to interact with each other. An MMORPG is the same basic concept but RPG is Role Playing Game, which refers to living your life through the eyes of your virtual character. When you combine MMO with RPG you have MMORPG which you are then playing a game which is designed to live your life through a virtual character online with the ability to live that life along side other like minded players. There are those that take the RPG aspect to an extreme degree but in general that is not required to be an MMORPG. If you think about old board games, paper and pen games, or txt based PC games and you develop a 3d world based on the rules of those games which took imagination to visualize the world gave birth to the MMORPG genre. It gave us the ability to physically see what those worlds might actually look like.

If the younger generations understood this fine line between an MMO and an MMORPG they would understand why even though some games are called an MMO or even MMORPG, those titles are often misleading and when you come across a game such as ESO which is an MMORPG they don't understand why this game is far more difficult or time consuming than other games that bare the same genre title. The answer is simple, those easy games that require little time or effort are not true to the core of MMORPG, they are simply abusing that title by being more MMO than RPG, as where this game is more RPG than a lot of other games.

Anyway sorry for the crazy long post, the server is down for maintenance and I am just trying to kill time lol. Again I am not trying to troll anyone or create any kind of argument so if I seemed to have been, please forgive me as that is not my intention at all. I hope the game does add some things that the community as a whole would like but at the same time I also hope that they do not cater to the gamer that wants everything easy and does not want to put any real time into the game to achieve things. I want this game to remain exactly how it is, a perfect balance between the old hardcore MMORPG and the slightly easier than old hardcore MMORPGs. I understand that there is a real world and most people have real responsibilities and do not have insane amounts of time to sink into a video game but at the same time those time sinks create a game that will keep me busy with things to do for what I hope will be years to come.

Enjoy your day all and if your looking for a friend to enjoy the game feel free to contact me in game @Dragondc3

Every other mmorpg knows the formula and knows what players what (most of the time)
Why would you not want a minimap, nameplates (basic mmorpg staple features) global auction house to create an economy of some sort? This is after all a 'world' where everyone is fighting to save from Molag Bal but has ZERO investment or features which represent an actual living world?
Hell even most of the horrid korean mmorpg's out there have global auction houses and some semblance of an economy, is it truly that hard to comprehend for ESO??

Everything has been implemented half assed and it shows. When mods do the work for the developers you know there's something severely wrong.

4 most annoying things for me.

    1. DK players whining to nerf other classes when DK imo is the strongest class. I am sure though once the whiners grow up and buy there own underwear they will stop complaining.
    2. Mounts in pvp will stop while sprinting for no reason.
    3. Nerds complaining because they got killed buy a particular class.
    4. Nerds complaining because they cant dodge roll out of siege.
