Textures loading delay

My default graphics settings have been selected as Ultra by the game but when I run up to someone it is taking 1-3 seconds before the HD texture of their armor etc is loading.
Has anyone else managed to solve what is causing this problem as it is fast becoming very annoying.

manyrabidrats✭✭✭unfortunately that is normal. this game works by loading the low-res graphics first and the high res as you get closer, but it seems it loads everything only so quickly..
sometimes i wish they could optimize it so that foreground stuff gets priority when loading the higher res graphics for objects. or let us tweak the distance before its loaded in.0 -
