Hey everyone,
As I've now been playing this game for 6 weeks, I thought I'd write down my opinion.
First of all, I'm not that familiar with the TES genre, I've only played Skyrim up to lvl 40, but this is TESO. Not Skyrim Online, that's clear.
Now then
Gameplay: I love it. I'm used to kinda real action like in Tera and GW2, but TESO is all about moving. It wasn't till lvl 8 that I realized I really shouldn't be standing in those red areas, even at low levels, whereas in other games, those areas may take 10% of your hp at most, here it's 30% at least.
I love how we can combine class specific skills with weapon skill, weapon swap and have really alive combat.
There are so many ways to get to ure objective. 1. Zerg everything. 2. Sneak past everything, standing 4m behind a monster and not being noticed. 3. Optional: die and run while in soul mode to your objective. Also being able to synergie with other players' skills is awesome!
Quests and Maps: I like the quests. The story really feels alive, and even though I only finished DC areas, first AD zone and Coldharbour, I loved it. Especially in the DC areas I sometimes felt the story was really well written. I loved going into people's dreams in Stormhaven, and even more the final clash in Rivenspire. (R.I.P. Verandis)
I love how sometimes choices really make a difference in how you interact with those npc's later on in the game.
And the maps! The maps are big, and full of exploreable places, which I really love, and always checking in every corner for a chest or a backpack that might contain an unknown recipe or maybe even a racial motif!
NPC's: All the voice over's. Sometimes it's the same but they really seem to show emotion after rescuing them from imminent death! Also, Love love love Cadwell's voice.
Music: Ah, the music is great, I love exploring with the tunes almost in my head, almost being able to just sing along with the music. Love the opening song.
PvP: I haven't check out PvP, but I did do Cyrodiil. Cyrodiil is great. It reminded me a lot of World versus world in GW2 but without the constant risk of walking two steps the wrong way and falling to your death. I like the idea of PvE in a PvP zone, even though I got yanked more than once. The sieges: AWESOME. I loved just running around, unleashing death from above on all beneath, the siege engines. Con: Being ranked by raids of VR14's

I only did mostly Thornblade and a bit of Chillrend btw. It can lag but that's in every guild versus guild/world versus world I ever played in any MMO. I got a decent computer (3 years old but barely lag at all with ESO in almost highest settings, and a decent connection)
The UI/lay out: could be better. I really recommend using some add ons for combat at least. I use FTC and I love it. Some minor things like shift+click to link items in chats would also be useful, rather than right clicking everything and clicking link in chat.
Crafting: Haven't done this a lot yet, but I love how you don't need to make 500 iron ingots or something to simply make a chest piece, or that you need just 12, but each ingot taking 30 seconds. Great that we can improve items without too much RNG: if you have enough of the required material, you can get a 100% chance. Love how deconstructing items also gives exp towards crafting. Love how we can craft in different styles as well, although I do not like it at all that I can't preview items in the crafting section if I do not have the appropriate crafting level.
New-player-friendly: Not really. I felt like I was thrown into the deep without any kind of advice. Sure there are some pop up boxes for new things, but it's very general, and I ended up being called noob quite often in zone chat simply for asking basic things.
This is all I can come up with at the moment but of course there are also bad things
LFG: it's kind of broken or doesn't really seem to match players the way it's supposed to, making it harder to find a group because you can only shout in 1 zone at a time that you want to do a dungeon... An Alliance-wide LFG channel would be appreciated.
CP: with the new progress system starting at VR1 you can gain CP at a faster rate for 1 point per day but it seems to not function correctly: I hit VR1 3 days ago, am on my 5th CP and still enlightened....
Well, that's all for now, hope you guys appreciate it
