When you look at the quests area's on your map, anything completed turns white, whereas anything yet to be completed is black.
Also have an addon named undiscovered. The addon is now out of date, although still useful as a guide for locating quests, mundus stones, dungeons & dolmens. Everything shows as a red X on the map.
You can also look under achievements. Character I am using at the moment is in Shadowfen. Shadowfen adventurer says 46 of 51 quests completed.
Also another addon you can get named "locations". Might be helpful.
The problem with Point A is that doesn't help me determine where to grab the quests that let me clear the spots that are still black. For example, I was trying to start a quest at Saint Veloth's temple (as that area was still black), but in order to start it, I had to clear several other quests before that. Knowing an area isn't complete doesn't help determine what quests need to be finished to turn it white :P.
Points B and D, I use Destinations now (finally got around to installing it). It marks every PoI and quest-giver, it's pretty helpful. Not sure if it's updated to mark all the quests I've already done or not, what with the API changes to grab that info, but I imagine it will be soon.
Point C, I'm not sure if that includes ALL quests in an area, or if it's just a number out of the total quests you need to clear to get the achieve. I thought that's what it meant myself, but for Deshaan it said I only needed to complete one more quest to get the achievement. I know for a fact that I have more than one quest to clear for Deshaan, so either something is bugged, or that achievement doesn't account for all quests in a zone.
Ty for the tips though, there's a good chance they'll help someone else who might be newer n__n.

@Dominoid You'd think in a game this massive they'd have a native way of keeping track of what quests you've done, at the very least.

I'll add the Quest Journal add-on later, about to go to bed. I have Destinations now, but it doesn't seem to apply things retroactively. I installed it a week ago, give or take a day or two, and the only pins that show up as "complete" are quests I've done after installing it. All the other quests I've done are shown as "incomplete"; they're not removed and they're not colored as quests I've completed after install are. There could be a setting I'm missing, but it seems Destinations only marks things as done if you complete them after installing it.
Does the first add-on you mention work for things you've already done? It doesn't sound like it, if there's no way the API tracks what was already complete. But on the other hand, there has to be some sort of flag in-game for quests, or else they wouldn't clear after you finish them. Unless the API doesn't have access to those flags for whatever reason, which makes the most sense to me. I have no idea how the coding for this game works, or coding in general XP..
There is nothing in the API to tell us what you have already done. These two add-on below are great additions to start running now to give you this information going forward:
Harven's Quest Journal - A nice Morrowind-esque journal of all your questing activities

Months ago there was a thread about dealing with lack of ability to see completed quests in game. In fact, before that thread, not even an add-on could show completed quests. There was an official ZO$ response acknowledging that gap. They didn't say, "we'll fix this UI shortcoming". They said, 'we changed the API so someone can use that feature in an add-on if someone writes it'. I was irritated by that response, and this thread is like opening a wound. For a game heavily quest based, it's surprising this was not a built in feature. I wonder how all those who don't use add-ons feel about what should be a basic feature being for add-on users only. And if Harven leaves the game, everyone loses the feature. Good going ZO$.

I really don't think it'd be used enough to warrant implementing something like that, tbh. Questlines give you all sorts of nice gear, especially at lower levels when you have no real way of making or buying stuff. You also get Gold; if you skip all the quests that don't give you useful stuff, you're missing out on a BIG chunk of money. And obviously you miss out on all the experience you'd be getting from turning in quests/killing mobs.Dre4dwolfb14_ESO wrote: »I would like a check box in the options "disable accepting all quests that don't give you useful stuff like skill points"

Not to mention "useful stuff" is subjective at best. What you consider useful may not be what I consider useful, and vice-versa.
