Nightblade Bow

I find that im having a real hard time Killing and Bosses with a Skull and Crossbones. Not sure if im picking the wrong skills ect, Anyone have a Beginners guide? All i find is maxed out videos that dont help newer players.
Also do you get like a pet to help mitigate mobs? Seems dumb to be a wood elf from the forest with no animal friends.

These are group world bosses. They aren't meant to be soloable at level.

I'm not saying that some builds can't pull it off sometimes, but that's the exception, not the rule. Get a couple of others to join you, or at least 1 other.

I've defeated nearly every world boss alone as a tank or 2h templar. However as a nightblade I fail miserably with almost every one. Hmmmmm

When I did succeed as a nightblade I was using 3 heal over time abilities (blood craze, swallow soul, and degeneration), and then used the dual wield skill quick cloak to increase movement speed, while swapping to bow and kiting the boss in circles.
End the tedious inventory management game.

As I nightblade I have soloed many world bosses, but also have struggled with some world bosses. I can defeat them once I find the proper way to do one or more of the following: stun, push back, knock down, agro (with shades), etc. I then can choose a proper nightblade way to fight using bow, dual wield, NB skills as a nightblade instead of acting as a tank, which usually ends in my death.

shadow cloak(Dark cloak), hidden dagger(flying dagger),strife (funnel health), assassinsblade(killersblade), twinslashes(rending slashes),soul shred(soul tether) got me through lvl1-50 and vr 1-8 bosses, then I went for a better build.

though storm atronachs and gargoyle bosses I found impossible, but always someone to help, though I always find storm atronachs and gargoyle bosses impossible.

edit: I used 5medium and 2 light armour all that way, do not know if that is as good now though, I use full medium now.

I am not sure if this is viable at all, since the changes to skills came :)

As nightblade i solo most world bosses, with bow only, at about 2 levels above boss level really... Can be tough in the begin but around 25-30 is gets alot easier

Some world bosses are just plain immune to all CC, the only way your taking them out with a stam/bow is buffing your movement speed and dodge rolling like a pro.
I recommend Double Take in the assassin line for 26 seconds of major expedition and dodge chance. Shadow Image can be also used to teleport around but its a higher level skill so might not be available to you yet.
With medium armor, healthy stamina regen and the occasional sprint a NB can kite around to MC hammer all day long.

As a NB, I usually don't have much difficulty. 2h Brawler/Rally, Soul Shred, Quick Cloak, and Swallow Soul usually gives me the kill.

Unless your a DK. Then you can solo them if they are a few levels above

I've soloed almost every WB solo on my NB using bow/venom arrow/snipe/shades/mark target/swallow soul.

But you know what? After I rolled a sorc, DK and templar I noticed it much, much easier to solo the WB's on those classes than it is on the NB.

I've soloed every world boss in game, at level, with every class. It isn't hard, but sometimes you need to approach it from a different angle or use a different skill/ultimate/etc... They aren't hard now, but they seem easier than they used to be - not the champion points, because I was doing the same thing before 1.6. If you're having troubles, try something new. We all know what the definition of insanity is...

Im doing quite well with world bosses actually, I use bow + Dual Wield

    10-10 health and stamina

    Bow:
    - Venom arrow
    - Ambush
    - Killer's blade
    - Mark Target
    - Double Take
    - Soul Tether

    Dual Wield:
    - Steel Tornado
    - Ambush
    - Killers Blade
    - blade Cloak
    - Shadowy Disguise
    - Soul tether

I will change a few of these as I level and I unlock better skills. I'm mainly following this build:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K091DYVmKfk

For world bosses, I make sure to start with a hard punch. I cloak, mark, do a heavy bow attack followed by a venom arrow. Then I just hit with what I see fit, and also focus on staying alive. be sure to be on your toes, and use Shadowy Disguise from time to time, to break line of sight, get some distance, and use the 100% crit chance from the skill appropriately.

Gear wise, I had a guild mate craft me a set of "Night's Silence"
    2set bonus: Max Stamina
    3set bonus: Stamina Recovery
    4set bonus: Weapon critical
5set Bonus: Ignore movement speed penalty when stealthing

The set requires only 2 traits to craft, so it's somewhat easy to request from a crafter.

Lastly, I make sure to use food. I'm lvl 24 atm, so I still use lvl 15 blue food that gives health + stam (Shephard's Pie). It really helps.

    I hope this helps you!

Can appreciate the prob being a NB against bosses. Up to V12 was rare to do a boss successfully solo. After that they were all pretty doable. Main thing I've found DO NOT stand still :) My build is pure stamina and working okay now. But about to do a rebuild on him for pvp purposes. Not slightest bit inclined to start a new one and go through all the quest to V14 again.

Gargoyles hard but doable, Stormies usually have me running away :P

That's how it goes. I soloed bosses and also public dungeons at level with my templar alt, but always had lots of trouble with my nightblade main until I was well overlevel. Of course, medium armor and dual wield are often not the best choices against big and tough bosses... it may be doable in some cases. Maaaybe. I still go for help or overlevel. (that goes double for stormies ;) )

But generally, those guys take two people to do them in.

    Exactly the same experience.

Same here. NB is definitely the hardest class to play with.

Leveling a templar just to be a healer and it is easier than my NB, even having only a couple of skills to attack.

My main is a NB and I love it. When I play my alts, I re-discover every time just how much easier it is to play the entire game with them than with the NB. That class definitely got a HUGE screw-over by the DevTeam. Or did they. I LIKE the way my NB plays. It takes skills to play and makes the game more challenging and more fun. Maybe the problem here isn't that it is so hard for NB's, but maybe that it should be THAT hard for every class.

As for world bosses - I solo almost everything. That big Stormy at the end of Stormhaven at VR10 is a problem. It CAN be done, but honestly, it just isn't worth it. In the amount of time it takes you to beat him you could do so much more somewhere else. WB are OK to do once, but for the most part - doing them more than once solo is a waste of time. I find myself delving Dwemer ruins makes me more XP, more gold, and more loot overall.

It's only the hardest if you don't learn the mechanics of the class abilities. It also depends on what type of armor/weapons you use.

So it's impossible to say that one class is harder than any other, because you're actually talking about a very specific build within your class. I have two Nightblades (one stamina DPS, one magicka healer/DPS), and they have had radically different leveling experiences.
