ZOS, with the console versions coming out, will full controller support be added to the PC version soon as well?

Hope so, at least then there will be people I can kill in PvP.

I, for one, KNOW I would be much better with controller support. I'm constantly looking at my hands and/or pushing the wrong keys.

I dunno, I have seen a controller map for this game (you can run the game currently using X-Padder and a 360 controller) and that would just confuse me to no end.

I've tried that and it doesn't suit me because you still have to use keys for a lot of things anyway. With a console, Zenimax has surely worked out a workable mapping. The problem with X-Padder is that all you can do is map keys, but with control of the inside, you can map keys for situations. As in, if you are on the character screen, the left stick moves you up and down and sideways vs moving the character when you are not in a screen. The X-Padder was OK for combat with the mapping, but constantly shifting between controller and keyboard when in combat vs not in combat becomes more of an irritation than it's worth. Full controller support for the game would mean that you can play without needing to switch, except if you wanted to chat or something. Then possibly you could also assign your keyboard keys to trigger macros or emotes with some mods.

Yea, I still wonder how they are going to do this, because there are not enough buttons on a controller to do all the things that you would want to do in the game. One mapping scheme I saw had some of the skills on a sub menu, so you could fire off 3 of them, then press a button and use two of the same buttons to fire off the other two skills. If I had to play this way, all my characters would be 3 skill spammers.

It would make sense to have PC players beta test the control schematic in addition to console players for a competitive insight into how k/m and controller will compare. I'd be curious to see how many console players will end up using keyboard and mouse. A buddy pointed out that the controller schema shown in one of the showcases for xbox one was pretty horrendous. Players couldn't block cast their 4th ability etc.

I know this project was Nick Konkle's but I haven't seen him in the forums for a while. He even mentioned a possibility of support coming to PC.

I've run a Xpadder and Pinnacle

Pinnacle literally is set up and other than typing to others I don't need a keyboard. Everything is supported and actually works better in my opinion. This works on an Xbox one controller and is based off the console controller set up.

The only odd thing is sprint doesn't work like console but if I tweak it more...it can
I also have a Xbox one keypad attached to the controller (pretty much similar to the xbox 360 keypad) but this arms off usb so it works on any sub capable device.

No issues at all since Nov 2013 closed BETA

Considering that many builds only really need to spam 3 skills at most, it works better than you might think.

For example, my sorc's build uses both Inner Light and a pet, so I put those two skills on a sub menu.

Same with my templar, I put the most used skills on the three that you can use without accessing the sub menu. But anyways, pressing RB + Y for example to drop an ultimate is not difficult at all for someone who grew up on games like Street Fighter 2.

when i wanted the extra (click f to join group etc ) ,for the dungeons where u add to groups, i got a mini keyboard ,u should try riitek it's the best.it's the size of the tv remote controller, and all ok.
