Anyone else having issues with character login today?

Today, two of my three characters won't login for some reason. Anyone else experiencing this?

What is the best/fastest way to get my issue resolved?

I have noticed that one of my characters is difficult to log into if I leave her in a busy place, like Rawhkla in Reapers March. Weird because I have another character that I leave there that I can log into with just fine.

Anyway, with the difficult character, I can usually get logged in after 2 to 4 tries. I have since stopped leaving her in Reapers March, and now she is left in a quieter town where she is doing writs.

^This happens a lot with the game. I never leave my character in a major city anymore as I don't want to deal with the log on issues.

Now none of my characters will load. The game loads fine, but when I choose a character to load and play, it just shows me the circle arrow and "LOGGING IN" "Requesting Character Load"...but the characters won't load.

How do I expedite a service ticket for this issue? Anything I can do on my own to resolve this issue besides restart my computer?

I'm on the North American server. Didn't think to add that information.

So, it sounds like I should just let it sit until the character finally logs in? It's happening with all three of my characters now, so I'm thinking it's a larger issue than just traffic.

Well, I created a new character, then logged in and played with the new character for five minutes or so. Then I logged out with the new character, and tried logging back in, and no dice.

Now I have four characters I can't log in with. I get to the character selection screen, but no characters will load.

I'm on the NA server. I also tried turning my AV off. Same results. Tried restarting my system a few times. Same results.

Sometimes you can get log loading screens. Sometimes I've had a character take a little while to load, as long as I left it alone and waited, it will either error out or load. Sometimes the only thing you can do is to keep trying them until they log in. Once you get them logged on, move them to a different location, an empty area outside a city and then log off them. Try another character and see if you can log on another one. Then move them to remote areas as well.

Yeah, nothing like that would work for me. I waited over 20 minuets for every one of my characters to load, and set up a new character just to see if that would get me back in. Nada.

There was either a problem that customer service fixed, but I don't think they did anything at all. I think what fixed the problem was setting my launcher and game to launch with administrator permissions.

Customer support REALLY ticked me off in one respect. They told me to submit a report from the game consultant feature. Fine, no problem. Did it. The game consultant generates a report in .txt format. So I sent that in. Six hours later, I get a reply saying that's the wrong format for the report. They need a .rtf formatted report. Well, IF CUSTOMER SUPPORT NEEDS A REPORT IN .RTF FORMAT, THEN THEIR OWN GAME CONSULTANT SHOULD GENERATE THE REPORT IN THAT FORMAT!.

So, after getting a series of strange and in depth things for me to do to fix the issue on my end, the problem was finally resolved. So either they fixed the problem on their end, or simply setting my launcher to run with administrator permissions is what fixed the problem.

So, for future reference, if anyone else has repeated issues with character login, FIRST, try the simply fix, and simply set your launcher to launch with administrator permissions. (a suggestion that was absent from the two lists of suggestions from customer support)

Same happening to me on my main char.After I select the char I get an infinite loading screen to then get booted back to the log-in page with an error <<1>>

However when I log in with my other chars who are on the SAME LOCATION I log in fine.

That's how it started with me too. Then, after a couple days, couldn't log in with any character.

Try this:

1) Right click on the ESO Launcher icon.
2) Select properties from the menu
3) Select Compatibility form the tabs menu
4) Under the "privilege level" section, check "run this program as an administrator"
5) Hit the Apply button

I'm not sure if a system restart is necessary, but couldn't hurt.

Please let us know if that does it for ya. I've got some more suggestions, but I'm fairly sure that will fix you up.

Glad you were able to get logged! A bunch of people on the EU server got kicked from their game earlier and can't get back on. They are having an issue with another trade guild having a similar name on that one.
