Least fun class while leveling?

Curious what class people found the least fun/most grindy while leveling?

Everytime I come back to ESO to play a bit, Im trying to continue with my lvl 41 DK...but Im finding the gameplay to be less and less attractive compared to something like the Templar or even a caster nightblade. After a few minutes or a few hours of playing my DK, I want to sign off and not log in again...

What do you think?

Given we have only 5 skills we have access to at a time, or 10 if you want to mess with bugged weapon swap, the gameplay can't be anything but boringly repetitive especially as many skills are 'must have's for any particular playstyle.

My enjoyment comes from exploring the game, questing and leveling, the complex playstyles don't float my boat, as such ESO works but yeah, it rarely needs any thought about which of the 2 or at most 3 possible buttons to hit next.

Yeah I have to agree, this isn't like some games where the optimal ways for classes to level up are completely different.

Leveling can be a tedious process no matter what class you play...especially post-VR1 and/or your second+ time through the lower levels.

I found levelling my nightblade to be the most tedious.

I got him to V1 & he's been parked ever since... haven't even allocated his champion points yet.

Found the Templar the most fun to level if I'm honest... even some of the slightly gimpy skills were a giggle, and fun/easy to level.

I've only ever levelled a Dragonknight to Max since I generally hate the levelling process entirely. IMO if I want to play a max level of anything else I'll boot up the PTS. So while I can't exactly say with confidence which is the worst to level, I can share what I recall being two stages in levelling a Dragonknight:

Dragonknight before Dragons Blood is unlocked: :s "Damn! Dead again"

Dragonknight after Dragons Blood is unlocked: >:) "Look upon me and dispair! I am the destroyer of worlds! Gwhahahaha!"

This dynamic is part of the problem with the levelling design and why I generally hate it; the earlier levels have zero in common with the later levels in terms of class functionality. Many people rolled Dragonknight thinking Tank class, when in reality they can't tank worth a damn until well into level 20, so you're just a soft squishy bag of nonrenewable hit points.

Just my 2 cents on the subject.

DKs are the worst for me. Too many dots and utility. Great class but boring as hell.

I had a really good time with the Templar. I will try Sorcerer next.
I'm kind of a small deal!

Most boring I'd say is NB. It's too single-centric for me and there's too many mass group mobs that nee dto be taken care of in seconds, not minutes.,

All leveling is god awfully boring, so I'll just say which gets it's easy skills first so it can at least be easy and boring. Templar, you can get the move u'll be using soon as you create it, from birth to V14 puncturing strikes will be your go to, in a couple levels morph it to the one that heals and maybe pick up a gap closer and it is smooth sailing. All my hireling alts have ben templars because of this.

I found my DK the most boing once I got over the initial excitement. I think it's because I built her to be a tank so her DPS wasn't up to par.. therefore every fight took FOREVER.

Although my Templar is a healer, she uses magicka skills while out questing and can kill thing pretty quick. Plus who doesn't like charging to a mob, just to shoot them back with the destroy skill ;)

    I've leveled 4 Nightblades (2 VR14 and 1 VR6) and 1 Dragonknight to level 39.

NB's get pretty easy in VR now but theres still a challenge now and again

I may get back to my DK eventually, but that one is so easy mode it wasn't fun.

    Most boring for me, Templar.
About ready to start a NB but haven't touched them since launch. Hopefully they have made some positive changes to the class?

I've fully leveled the class abilities of a Templar as well as a DK. IMHO the DK has a greater variety of viable options. With the templar I find myself with skills on the bar that were just there for the sake of leveling.

Right now I find myself in what's probably the most boring stretch of leveling I've ever done other than a v13-v14 craglorn grind: the destro staff on my templar. I've never done a destro staff before. By Jove it's dull. Can't wait to be done with it.
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

I think it's simply a matter of whichever class is new for the player. For example, if you have played DK a lot, it's fun to try something totally different like a sorc or nightblade, and vice versa.

    Quite the opposite with me.

My first toon was a templar, loved it. Was pretty easy but had its difficult moments too. And I had a blast subbing in certain abilities.

Now on my DK, Im trying to convince myself to play the game again and get back into it. DK I find so boring atm.

Maybe because my templar was the first toon I leveled.

Maybe I do need to just put the DK down for a while and re-visit my nightblade or sorc. I want two nightblades..one as a caster/warlock type of deal, and another as the typical bow/dw...
