Elemental drain bug?

First off, I am a nightblade. When debuffing a target in PVP or PVE from stealth, using marked target works like a charm. It will not unstealth me, mark the target, and debuff as it is supposed to.

Elemental drain on the otherhand from the destro staff tree, seems to be bugged. If I have any type of damage on my staff as its charge, it will deal damage to my target while debuffing them. Essentially I pull aggro the second I press the debuff. If I put on a staff with no proc, I can debuff until my heart is content and never aggro anything.

Doesn't seem like a huge deal in a raid, but in PVP it will instantly unstealth me, and makes it impossible to check how well my DPS is doing since the timer starts the second I deal any damage.

I also didn't seem to see any damage increase from using it. Not sure it is working properly all around besides the magicka restoration aspect.

It is my understanding that the secondary enchantment only procs on Light/Heavy attacks?

This, and Siphon from the restro line were both supposed to be exempt from Aggro until actual damage is applied. Not sure this was ever fixed properly, though.

Right. No attacks at all are used, and I pull a mob because the weapon proc goes off. If you just stand there and press elemental drain and nothing else, you will pull if you have fire, frost, shock, disease etc on your staff. Even if you don't use a light or heavy attack.

I always had my staff enchantments proc from any skill i used on the staff. ( Impulse would proc those enchantments all the time so I don't see why elemental drain wouldn't ).

Its been like this since day 1.

Correct.....except ele drain was supposed to be changed in 1.6 to not agro.

Are there any procs that you can use that wont deal damage and pull a mob / unstealth you?
