Can you REALLY get Nirncrux from Welwa?!

The other day on EP Craglorn /zone, someone said that v13 Welwa in Upper Craglorn give Nirncrux just the same as any other Upper Craglorn cloth node. Is this actually true?

That is all.

    ZO$ never said that was a nirncrux source. I've killed a lot of welwa in Upper Craglorn, and never gotten any nirncrux. I remember another post that suggested nirncrux came from alchemy plants. Again, not from my experience. I farm there almost daily. I've gotten my share of nirncrux, and it always comes from void bloom, void stone, or nightwood, whether from a survey or in the wild. Anyone who says different is either misinformed or misinforming. I'd only believe otherwise with definitive proof.

    Agreed. I've farmed enough runestones and alchemy plants in Upper Craglorn to say for almost certain it doesn't come from them. Welwa sounds extremely doubtful although given its a shadow hide dropper it could be possible I guess. Certainly I have never had one from them.

    I got one from a Welwa in upper crag the other day and was quite surprised. I heard it as a rumor for months but until I saw it for myself I didn't really believe it. I don't have any screenshots to prove it, but from all reports, the drop rate off Welwa is so low it's probably not worth farming for that reason alone.

    I can confirm they do drop from a Welwa. I actually got one the first day upper Craglorn was released and haven't had one drop from one since then.

    Makes sense.

    Nircrux comes from plants (and other nodes, I know).

    People pick plants.

    Welwa eat people...

    Welwa = Nirncrux.

    If it makes you feel any better, I can't get Nirncrux to drop from anything... think I've gotten 3 pieces in 6 months?

    I suspect it was a bug or and autolooted node that happened to be where the welwa died.

    Yes. Nirn can drop from Welwas in Upper Crag - as it should (it's just as rare, of course).

    I can also confirm this; I just got a piece of Fortified Nirncrux off a pack of Welwa.

    EDIT:
    I have a related question. Does the type of Nirncrux you can get depend on what drops it? Because I've now gotten two pieces off Welwa, and both times it was Fortified. Can you get Potent off Welwa or is it limited to materials you can make weapons out of—i.e. wood and metal?
